5.5" CCS Pads

Where do you store your pads when not using them. I have a storage cabinet i have them in now...Should they be in bagy's so not to collect anything. In Draws??...After you hand wash them, where do you place them to dry?

Do not place them in baggys. There still may be moisture in them and the bags will trap the moisture. The pads may start to rot and fall apart.
 
I put them under a fan and they dry faster, after that and making sure they are DRY I use plastic bags with 1 small tiny hole in it so air can pass in and out. This keeps them from getting dusty IMO.
 
I would let the PC pads air dry, if you put them on the machine wet you take the chance of the backing material being torn off. :down
 
Sorry, even on closeout, I'm done with CCS pads. IMO, flat and Hydro-Tech pads are head and shoulders above CCS pads, at least as far as DAs go.
 
hey mike-im using a pc da--so flats are more efficient?

I just got a 7424xp for christmas and got ccs pads--and got honeycomb pattern from local dealer for waxing--soft ones that is for lsps--but for swirls the flats are a better choice? seems to make sense as far as trying to build a little heat or friction so as to correct paint a lil easie? thnx for input --
 
Which color CCS pads did you get PAD2010? Both type of pads work great ( CCS and Flat ). The CCS pad cells slow the rate of polish absorption, gradually releasing polish as needed by the operator. CCS pockets reduce surface tension, prevent pad skipping and allow the operator to run the pad flat on the working surface. The Flat pads have a slightly different "feel" compared with CCS pads especially when used with a rotary polisher. Once one mastered them, flat pads break down the polish quicker since fresh polish is not being constantly introduced to the surface. This allows a skilled detailer to accomplish more in less time.
