:rofl

I know a certain detailer who was on here and is on another well-known forum that does everything by hand and does not use claybar.

It makes me think they've never held a rotary polisher because I can't imagine working without one. I'd be lost, honestly.

Funny headline !!! :rofl

I read that article, but never picked up on how that headline can be interpreted until now.

If I had to do paint correction on black cars exclusively by hand, I would be the the hardest working and poorest detailer around. Imagine exterior detailing a heavily swirled black Mercedes Benz S 550 without a rotary.

We'd have an very different meaning of the word "perfection" then ;)

Headlines on threads would be something like - "Achieved 50% Correction!!!!!11!!!!!!!one!!!!!!!!!!"

I hope the article is referring to the washing only. I used to detail all by hand up to around 2004 and couldn't imagine going back to that method now. New paints are so much harder that a rotary is the only way to get serious correction.

Some guy around my area has bumber stickers like that-- "I got my handjob at X's detailing". Nothing I'd rather have than a bumper sticker saying that I got a handjob from a guy (enter flagrant sarcasm here).
