4* Ultimate Paint Protection Spray Feedback?

So UPPS, apparently, has been out available for a couple weeks...anyone have any feedback? I imagine there are lots of people besides myself who are interested in hearing all about 4*'s latest (and hopefully greatest) product.

I'm a big fan of UPP, but will have to wait to spring time to try anything new since it's already winter time here and I'm real limited in doing/redoing my car finish.

Anyone?

i dont trust spray wax and spray sealants. whats next "Super Swirl Remover Spray SSRS 2.5 :hang: "

OK. Was wondering if you have ever used Z-8 from Zaino? Some seem to think it is a pretty good product. of which I am one. Although it is more of a QD. It does have protective qualities to it. Admittedly it is not a stand alone sealant.

i believe its used as a quick detailer right? something to spruce up your 4X UPP. instead of using a carnuba spray..Hopefully it'll return the slickness of when you 1st apply UPP. Now that would be the s**t

It probably rocks dudes, why wouldnt it, its 4*?

Exactly. I thought the same thing about OCW until I tried it.

I haven't tried it (yet), but I'm all for something easy to use that gives quality results, and saves some time. UPP is one of my fav. sealers, so I've got my fingers crossed that 4* has another winner.

i have tried upp spray wax. its awesome. just as easy to use as OCW but with the upp look. u do have to wait sometime before water hits it so it can adhere well to the surface, but thats with any pure polymer sealant. ive had it as a stand alone product on my car for about 2 weeks now and all the wqueslities of the "regular" versions are the same, including slickness, beading, and shine. on top of the fact that its "supposed" to last just as long as the "regular" version, u can easily use it as a qd once a month to spruce it up. i wouldnt neccesarily use it weekly, as its meant to be a spray wax, and all u would be doing is adding more layers. something now needed to be done after 2-3 layers. thats what "ultimate gloss enhancer" qd spray is for.

i dont wuite understand why u would "trust" spray waxes. i mean, sure, dont go and start using meguairs quik wax and expect longetivity, but if u think about it. waxes used to be hard paste. than liquid versions came out. just as durable but easier to use. now theres spray waxes like ocw which are a dream to work with and last longer than most carnubas.

side note: klasse sg is pretty watery and can be used as a spray wax as well (ive used it this way before), and this is one of the top 5 contenders when it comes to durabilty.

I thought that I read on the web site that it was coming out in December 2005.
You read that on Autopia and it wasn't good information. At the time that info was posted, PAC had it in stock and was shipping it.
And no, I haven't bought any yet.:)

That's exactly what my initial thoughts were, as I am a big fan of UPP (as well as UPC & UGE), but I want to hear it from others. :beer_smil

I guess that I just cannot keep up. Yet I keep trying.

Someone on another forum told me that Pinnacle was coming out with a new product(souveran) that has bees wax in it. ha!

My order with UPPS arrived last week, I gave it a spin this weekend and to be honest I expected more but to be fair it is a good product on its own.

Was doing a detail and after polishing, I applied UPPS. Goes on nice and easy, just like most QDs. Part of the car was left in the sun and weather was quite warm (approaching Summer here). After a while I checked on it and took some pics. Finish was very nice. Nice wet-look like UPP. Not much depth but on gold metallic I didn't expect much. Reflective qualities are nice. What surprised me was the lack of slickness.

Maybe it needed to cure a bit more but I didn't want to wait, so I applied regular UPP spit-shine method using UPPS. 5 minutes to apply and remove (plus drying time). Came out super slick the way I like it. Looks were improved slightly. Much happier this time.

I don't know yet if UPPS is suitable as a standalone LSP. I'd bet given enough time to cure it would be very close to UPP on every level, but right now I consider it more of a complementary product to UPP.

I heard that Premium Auto Care was going to be doing a buy UPP, get UPPS free promotion for Thanksgiving. Can't confirm the rumor yet though.
