i would at least get one yellow pad, as it's the most aggressive pad. you'll need it at sometime (sooner or later) to remove more aggressive defects...

I wouldn't buy the White or Green. They have almost no cut and are used for finishing. You probably want to finish with a bigger pad. You definitely want the yellow, just be careful with putting too much pressure or staying in one spot. Specially over plastic. You can burn the paint with both yellow and orange 4 inch pads.

I've got all five pads except green
Mainly because I finish alot of the small areas on panels with them plus the front and rear bumpers, headlights and tail lights get polished by machine as well to remove swirls
