4:1, 5:1 etc.??

Im just going through the boards and see mixing of 4:1 etc.... Can someone explain. Is it gallons or oz??

it is parts. 4:1 is 4 for parts from A and 1 part from product B. So as bozz TObleRONE said it is everything

It simply means that to make the product ready to use, mix 4 parts water to every 1 part of the consentrate. i.e. 4 oz water with 1oz product, 4 gallons water with 1gallon product, etc.
