3rd Coat of Ultima envy - Silver Focus

Well I was at it again this weekend, back in the same law office parking lot that almost got me a ticket last time. I got so mad at the cop from last week I filed a formal report against him, yay, he can't bother me anymore! :)



Prior to this washing today, I already had 2 coats of ultima on the car. I had my first shot at the ultima detail spray. WOW that stuff is AWESOME! Nothing I have ever tried finished that nice on glass before (a gallon size would be sweet!).



after doing the whole car with the ultima spray detailer stuff, I had a cold glass of water (I'm now on a diet)



no before pictures as you can imagine the car already looked great and there is a noticable improvment in gloss and shine. The slickness is even slicker (didn't think it was possible).

yes I know i missed brake dust in the wheel picture, I was in a hurry and my two year old kept trying to pick up my grim reaper spray....none the less I am trying to take better pictures! I think I should pickup a better camera...



3 coats of ultima pgp, and I did have some swirl marks before my first application of pgp, and now the seem to be gone almost!? is that even possible?
 
none, its like it ate the dirt off the windows! only trouble I had was when I did it on the side mirrors, they moved a little, but thats because I am heavy handed. Then I went over the windows with PGP, and I did have a little streaking, so we will see if it is gone in the morning :)



edit: streaking was due to the PGP not the spray detail
 
IMO the clearity is what has gotten better, the wetness/gloss is and always has been the best and never even showed signs of "wear" or getting "dimmer"



the clearity is what has impressed me so much with this 3rd coat, the 2nd coat I could still see swirl marks (minor) now they are really hard to find...
 
Very nice. I love the clarity of the finish. Is your paint metallic? I can't tell, and am wondering what happens to metallic paint after a few layers of Ultima.
 
i have tried grape dressing on those wheel wells and they just dont seem to want to do anything! :( *note to self time to borrow my dads armor all*



I'll have to take a look tomorrow through my camera again and see if its poping out. maybe its just the Ultima was only on for 1 hour and not "hard" yet?



.....I know before the 3rd layer I remember seeing the flake after that I can't say I looked real hard for it, so Its hard for me to remember :)
 
I might just take the tires off and scrub that thing down so it will be clean again....I know grim reaper hasn't done a thing for it and neither has anything else I tried. of course I can't get a brush back in there so....





thanks for all the comments, I plan on putting a 4th coat on and then a 5th coat to prepare for winter :) I will post pictures of all the coats....
 
Whats with the cover behind the engine cover? It looks like you did a side-by-side test?



The hood shot from the passenger side A-pillar is very impressive.

What headlight setup do you have?

The head lights are believe it or not from EBAY. I really like my lights, they came with just xenon halogens when I got them, but I converted them to HID's which are also from ebay.

thanks, the roof shot and hood shots to me look the best. I put a 4th coat on yesterday.



the car does have a metalic paint, in sun light the flake does come out, and looks nice, I will have to post a picture when I get home today....
