Ok, so every now and then, my go to product is the 3M Perfect-It for light or for dark colored vehicle's. Although, I have never given much thought to it, I have now. Why is there two different products and what is the difference between the two? I mean, why do I need a polish for dark colored vehicle's that is different from light colored vehicle's? Can anyone shed some light on why there are two different products based solely on color???

Street5927- The fillers/etc. are lighter/darker. I've used them both on silver with extremely minimal diffs, but I don't think I'd try the Light on black and I sure wouldn't use the Dark on white. Well, not unless I was gonna IPA wipe/etc. anyhow but then I wouldn't use them in the first place.

Accum...That is what I thought initially, however, the Perfect-it II, which is what I am referring too (should have clarified that earlier in my OP) claims to have no silicone and contain no fillers.

Ah, OK, I thought you were referring to the "Swirl Mark Remover' stuff.

Huh, I don't think I know from the PI-II stuff you are referring to, sorry...3M has made *so* many different Perfect It products over the years!
