3M Finesse IT III

Has anyone tried 3M Finesse IT II or III. I had a chance to try this recently and for swirl marks it works real good by hand. It is a rubbing compond so you do need to go easy. I just wanted to get some feedback. I ran out of DACP and someone loaned me the 3M stuff. It is not cheap as a quart is $38.00. If anyone knows where I can get it cheaper that would be nice. Thanks!

3M Finesse-It II Finishing Material Machine Polish was very popular around here back in the day. I've used it with success (by PC), but I've never tried it by hand. It needs to be buffed for a long time though, or else it will leave a really difficult to remove residue. I hardly use it anymore since 3M's SMR is easier to use and produces similar results. Most users have moved onto 3M's Perfect-It III line or to DACP.

Here's a thread on FI-2. It's what made me try it in the first place.

You can get FI-2 from 3M's website. The 16 oz. runs $12.32. Shipping is free, but you'll need to pay sales tax.

Hope this helps you out. :)

I have used the 3M Perfect-It III but am having a hard time finding it around Dallas. Do you know where I might find it online? Thanks for the information. I have some DACP on order.

Sorry for not reading your whole post on were to get the product. Disregard the last post on ordering. It is early and I have not had my Starbucks coffee!
