3D needs a sealant friendly car wash and spray sealant for poxy/nitro.

Zaino has a car wash soap and quality spray sealant.



Wolf's has a car wash soap and spray sealant that is also geared towards maintaining the shine and protection of their sealant.



I dont see anything on the 3D site that is geared towards that use. They can be added to the HD lineup. That way when a client is looking for something to maintain his poxy protected paint, I can send him a link to a product that is specifically geared for that use.



I just chatted with Thomas about this, but I wanted to make sure it gets full exposure.



Also would like to hear what other detailers think who are looking at using poxy.

I don't know if it's all that important for everything being used to be the same name brand. If 3D made something then great, if not, then there's plenty of other products out there that can do the job very well. With that being said, 3D, make a spray sealant, and a spray everything else you can since it's that much easier to use.
 
Personally I use 3D pink soap which will not degrade the sealant, and I use HD Free as a “spray sealant” topper.

Whilst not exactly the type of products you’re talking about, both work perfectly to prolong the life and enhance Poxy

One of the (many) reasons why I like Griot's Car Wash is the way it's sooo gentle on LSPs. All LSPs, frome beauty-waxes to sealants.



I wish 3D/HD would come up with a shampoo that has the lubricity, encapsulation, cleaning power, and LSP-friendlieness of the Griot's, and offer it in 5 gallon buckets. While a few shampoos like DuraGloss and Optimum are generally considered *close* to Griot's, I've heard very few people here say that anything is *better* and most of the people who like the others say that they're "nearly as good" or something like that.



So IMO here's an opportunity to knock one out of the park and make a huge contribution to what I consider the single most important aspect of detailing- THE WASH.
 
I know it is "ME" but the pink soap is an excellent top of the line car soap. In fact it is so gentle that it can be used as a hand soap.

Heh heh, and I've shampooed my dogs with Griot's more than once. Aren't *all* good shampoos gentle enough that you could use 'em for stuff like that?

No, I have to admit I have not. Nor have I tried either the DuraGloss or Optimum. I'm in a "not broken, so don't try to fix" situation; I'll need some very compelling evidence/testimony before I'll risk trying anything else, and somebody whose opinion I trust 100% (but who'd better remain nameless) has said the Pink Shampoo isn't something they'd expect me to be satisfied with.



Note that I will *NOT* under any circumstances, try some unknown if I have any concerns about it resulting in any marring as I currently have all my vehicles sorted to my satisfaction. Heh heh, I don't plan to polish anything for many, many years :grinno:



Yeah, I know...that's pretty [crappy] of me, huh? "Prove the unprovable for me before I'll try it"...but if somebody I know/trust says something like "I've used Griot's for hundreds of washes and this stuff is at least as good, guaranteed, I'd bet my life on it" then, well, OK.



Note that I've had people actually suggest that Meg's Gold Class is an OK shampoo :eek: and that stuff immediately got relegated to undercarriage duty (after I tried it on a loaner car). Other "OK" shampoos like M62, Pinnacle, BF, and stuff from TOL weren't even close to Griot's either. It's gotten to where when people say *anything* is as good as Griot's my first thoughts are "how many washes have you actually *done* with the Griot's" as I really do think it's one unique product that might be in a class of its own.



So "apologies!" if I've set this up as a no-win, but a) I'd like to get shampoo in larger quantities at a commensurate savings if I can do it without compromising quality, and b) all things being equal (that's the kicker, huh?!?) I'd like to spend the money with 3D/HD...hey, I could buy it from Barry!

See I never used Griot's. I'll try to get some sample to see what the big deal is about it.



In any case, Pink Soap does work for me.



PS: as far as all shampoos being skin friendly? I would often get dryish hands with some of the above mentioned shampoos

Mainly because it seemed like it's lubricity was *way* below that of the Griot's, and it didn't seem as LSP-friendly when I mixed it strong enough to clean the way the GG does.  All-in-all I was utterly underwhelmed by it and quickly relegated it to wheelwell duty.  I know it's very popular, but I consider it, uhm....well, let's just say that if I want to use a Meguiar's shampoo I reach for their M62,


 


But note all those qualifiers in my response (.. "seemed loke"),  Maybe my water factors in.  Or the perhaps unique way that I wash (all that foamgun stuff).  Eh, I dunno...but my take on it was so negative that generally I don't mind knocking it.  Subjective?  Yeah, but I'm the subject ;)


 


Gotta say that I'm leaning towards trying the Pink.  Might pick up a five gallon bucket of it (for the cost of ~1.5 gallons of GG) and see how I like it.  With the way I wash I wouldn't mind a *little* "sub-GG performance", but I won't step down to GC, that's just a bit too far below my comfort zone.
