would i be able to clean these roof mouldings with #40 and dress them with #38 weekly? then just repeat the process when they become dirty again?

cheers :D

Sure, they look pretty clean as is, so #40's mild cleaners should have no problem with them. #38 is a pretty durable dressing, based on my experience.

Thanks Scott :up

Yeah there not bad but not that clean I used some armoral yesterday on them and the amount of crap that came of was unreal

Just to chime in, #40 contains some mild cleaners to help remove ground in dirt and grime. To help these cleaners work better, what I do is cut up little pieces of terry cloth like 1 or 2 inches square and agitate the molding and trim with the combination of terry cloth and #40, this usually works pretty good.

Then I apply a second coat of the #40 only this time taking advantage of it's conditioners and protection. You can substitute the #38 instead however.

Just the other day ago one of the chemist told me the new NXT Tech Protectant was water-insoluble, so it might last longer on exterior trim.

Everything wears off, so nothing is permanent and must be reapplied from time to time.

Hi veeduby,

The difference between #38 and #40 are,

#38 is a rich, thick gel for conditioning trim and tires. It's not really intended to be used on dirty surfaces so the surfaces should be new or pre-cleaned.

#40 is a liquid spray, cleaner, conditioner and protectant.

I would opt for the #40 followed like #38 as you described.

What about using #39 as a dedicated cleaner followed by #38? I picked up #39 today, adn must say it's an AWESOME cleaner.

28.8k, harsh although 56k isnt much better, bring on BB only another couple of month till i get it :( :D

i dont think that the moulding is bad enough to use #39 could be wrong tho will find out soon enough
