303 APC vs Meg 101

I am looking for opinions about the use of 303 APC and Meg's 101. Which do you prefer for fabric tops? If you have used Meg's 101, at what dilution rate do you consider the best. I understand Meg's tends to foam quite a bit which may be PITA on fabric tops. Opinions please.

D103 is similar to D101 except it is low foam so if that's the issue a better comparison would be 303 APC vs D103. Can't comment on the 303 as I've never used it

You might consider circumventing altogether and just use RaggTopp products which are designed specifically for fabric tops.

I've used Ragtop products, but the 303 Fabric Protectant does a better job protecting. I have the Meg's and was hoping someone had tried it on a canvas top at some dilution level and got results. I like 303 products and I guess I am stalling buying the cleaner, just hoped to save a little space and money. Thanks for the input!

D103 All-Purpose Cleaner Plus, the low-foaming cleaner designed for extractors, is no longer available and has been "replaced" by Megs aerosol can carpet cleaners as well as protein/coffee stain removers within their Detailer Line.

I will give a recommendation for RaggTopp Fabric Top Cleaner Kit, BUT I must qualify that because I got my kit at local thrift shop for $4.00!! (Mail-order retail at the time was about $28.00). I've only used it on a black fabric top of a late-model Mustang Convertible, twice, of a family member. Works great and look nice when properly applied. I do not know about the durability, as it was not my car, and I don't see it that often.

Seems Aerospace 303 fabric cleaner and protector is a good alternative and it's probably available over-the-counter at any good boat/marine supply place or RV dealers, because of the fabric covers and awnings involved with both modes of recreational activities. I think I priced it out about 2 years ago and it was about $32.00 US total for both( not each) in 16 oz. sprayer bottles at a local RV dealer. I was interested because of all the tonneau-covered Buicks and Cadillacs that seem to have a fabric top installed by the dealer on them that are driven by "mature" owners. Just an observation, not a judgmental comment.... hey, my first NEW car was black '77 Mercury Monarch coupe (IE, 2-door) with a black vinyl half roof and opera-window (it came that way off the lot), so, no, I was not very"old" at the time!!
