Just realized I've been a member here for 3 years and only have 25 posts. I really should post more! Well here are a few details I thought I'd share...

1990 240 with 190k miles and all original single stage paint. The owner purchased this car back in 2001, it has not been detailed since then. Mechanically the car is kept up, but he wanted it restored cosmetically. I had about 16 hours in this one. This is my second detail using a rotary, still getting used to it.

These two cars below were done several months ago:

1994 940 with 140k miles. Exterior only detail, the owner wanted the paint to “be shiny again. I did not do anything with the headlights as I was trying to cut the price down to be in the client’s budget and time limit. Some areas on this car were repainted and clear coated, but most of the car was original single stage paint.

Exterior:

1Z PP / orange CCS with PC

1Z MP / green CCS with PC

1996 850 R with 200k miles. This owner wanted a full detail except for the engine. This car turned out to be in very good shape for the miles. He was thinking about selling it but changed his mind when he saw the outcome of the detail.

Mission accomplished. You got the shine back. Great work. It was cars like this that got me into detailing. The big fancy expensive cars are fun to do but it is cars like this that really show the work put into them.

Very nice work !!! Great attention to detail !!! Gotta love single stage paint !!!

I love detailing engine bays, and I am very impressed with your attention to details !!!

I personally hate Volvos, but I am very impressed with your work !!! :)

This is gobsmacking work!!! If that 240 was for sale, I'd buy it in a hearbeat. The blue 940 was a return from the dead. My brother has a '96 850R in red as well and I know he'll be reading this trying to figure out a way to get his to look like the one you detailed!

Beautiful turn around on all cars, but I especially love the outcome of the 850. Might be a little bias though since I have a red 850R sedan. :D

Thank you all for your comments!

Thanks! I really enjoy working with single stage paint.

Volvos aren't for everyone, it seems that people either love them or hate them.

That 240 is in great shape. The owner also has two other newer Volvos, but says the 240 is the best car he has.

Truly exceptional, especially with the PC. The old 240 is pure genius.

What are you using on wheels? Great wheel jobs.

The shop I work out of has a degreaser in a big drum that I use. I don't know what its called, but its pretty strong stuff and works great for engine bays and wheels with heavy brake dust buildup.

I think this is my 5th 850 R detail :lol I've done 2 black sedans, 2 red wagons and 1 red sedan.

Now that you cleaned off that Bush/Cheney sticker, are you going to slap on an Obama sticker?

It's great to see a real cleanup on an older vehicle. How excited am I supposed to get when a click and brag is an '07 infiniti or BMW that has been garage kept? Yawn.

Haha, I'll leave that one up to the customer. Personally, I hate stickers of any kind on a vehicle and gladly remove them at the owner's request.
