3 1/2 inch pads for drills...

They've worked great so far.

Small pads are really useful for spot buffing scratches or scuffs.
 
On an electric drill small pads its best to get ones that mushrooms over the velcro backing plate because they stay on better. If you can find them? Also best to use a electric drill, cordless drills go to slow that is if you are doing a large job like rims

If you are talking about wool pads they should be run from 1000 to 1500...so that would be high speed on a cordless and low speed on an electric...same is true with a PowerBall.
