In search of....
New to the detail business.. I have a pc 7434 polisher.. The pads I have are;

White
Peach
Black

The wax-sealant I have is;

Clearkote vanilla moose wax hand glaze
Clearkote Red moose Machine Glaze
Clearkote Carnuba moose wax and
Poorboys EX sealant with Carnuba

As I read, I don't have a " true " polish ( I think ) but I need to get the car ready for a show saturday..So I ask you, what steps ( applicators and waxes ) would you start with ? If I have to run to the local paint shop to get some polish, I'll do it if nothing from my little selection fits the bill..The paint on my car is very solid ( color is torch red ) with just a few spider webs.. It also has vinyl stripes, so should I stay away from the edges, tape them or can I use something mild to polish them ?

Thanks..

If you have just some light spider webbing then you probably don't need anything to strong to get through those. If by paint shop you mean (Auto) then I have noticed at least here where I am the Auto paint stores carry Presta. The Presta polish is nice and would take care of those, however I have found that it takes a while to work in especially with a PC.

No as far as your pads go, I am not sure who makes the pads so I don't know what type they are, usually black and white are more finishing pads, and while I have never heard of a peach pad, thats probably an orange polishing pad, I would use that.

As for the stripes, I would have to see them to know, the PC probably wouldn't hurt it.

Thanks guys.. vwgtivw, ohio auto supply is about 2 miles from me, so I will be heading there for some swirl remover..I don't know who made the pads..Thanks again for the input..
