Greetings everyone.
I recently traded away for some #26 paste from a fellow autopian. It's the 'old style' #26 with the black (not transparent yellow) top. It applies great, comes off great and has great depth, and not quite as shiny as NXT. I like it thus far, but there's one problem. After a few days, a haze develops on the paint. A dampened MF towel removes it but it comes back a few days later. It seems to be heat-dependant. It shows up pretty quickly on the hood where it gets plenty hot, and the car seems hazy after being parked in the sun this last weekend.
Now, I know carnubas can streak until they've been washed, and I know #26 is a polymer/carnuba blend. I figured QD'ing the car would be the equivalent of washing it? Also, I didn't remove the month-old NXT that was on the car prior to applying the #26. Would this affect it? My plan is to top the NXT with some #26...that shouldn't cause it to haze, should it?
thanks!
