#26 and #2

I have alot of Meguiars products and are pleased with most of them. In about 5 months I will be getting my dads toyota pickup(dark red,slight mettalic). Its a 92 but in good shape, I have been taking good care of it since Ive really got into detailing about a year and a half ago. My question is can I use #2 by hand on it. There arent many but some deeper scratchs I belive can be buffed out on the side of the bed. Also a little acid rain etching on the hood and roof. I have #7,9, and 26 now. How would #2 do at removing the problems. Scottwax, I know you do alot by hand, what is some tips you have found for surface prep etc.?

Sorry my other question was about #26. I have used the liguid alot and loved it. The other day I picked up some paste. I was wondering if you apply this any different?
