Hi, and welcome.

I tried to PM you but your PMs are off.

Are you actually from 22PLE or is that simply your user name?

Is Autopia carrying your product and you just arrived before the big announcement?

I used it on my wife MDX about 2 years ago, it was a good product, would like to know more about the line.

Hello, I am Shyan of 22PLE. Sincere apologies if we are not very active on the forums (not just Autopia but ANY detailing forums) and very low post count mainly because we currently do not have the necessary resources to properly managed a forum properly.

We are here to provide certain information but due to my very hectic travel schedule, I cannot promise quick answer.

However we hoped to changed that come Spring 2017 and definitely will look to widen our distribution network within US

Sincerely,
Shyan

For what its worth, whenever I read about any of your products, you call them glass coatings and I think windshield, and they are for paint. You should clean that up, it is confusing.

I think you should call the glass coating for windshields, and paint coatings. I know what you mean, I understand the difference, but your product name are misleading even for me. You pro glass coating ( is for paint). wonder how many people order that for their actual glass not paint?

With regards to "glass coating"... Here is something from my article... on the DI AAP Blog titled "What does `22ple` Mean?"

As you’re reading through the list of products, how do you pronounce “22ple”? Is it “twenty two pee-el-ee”, or perhaps “twenty two pull”, or maybe just “two two pee-el-ee”? I have never heard an official pronunciation to this unique name, so I decided to ask for some clarification from the creator of 22ple.

The response I received was very interesting. I was told that there is no official pronunciation and that the product logo was actually created first, and the company was named after the logo had been made. I was then asked if I knew what “22ple” meant, to which I responded that I had no clue. I was told to take a box or bottle of one of the products and examine the reflection of the logo in the mirror to reveal the meaning behind the name. Being the curious type, I immediately grabbed a box and took a look.

Here is what you get…

Photo: Reflected Image of box on Left, standard view of box on right. Notice that the “22ple” label now reads “glass” when reversed in a mirror.

The reflection spells out “GLASS”… pretty clever!

So now you know the meaning behind the 22ple brand… the mystery is solved.

Any 22ple coating users here on Autopia? On paint, not glass. Lol.
I`ve used the VX Pro and Pro 2 I have the plastic trim restore as well haven`t tried it yet though. Great product. VX pro like a few others doesn`t have that slick feeling. Very hydrophobic, durability from what I`ve seen is 2 years. Pro 2 is nice and slick. Very user friendly, if you miss a heavy spot and find it within a few hours you can take some product, apply it to the area and buff off. The only product I didn`t like is the reload type product, sorry can`t think of the name. Like the old version of Reload there were some streaking issues on a black car. I ended up going over it with a damp microfiber and getting the streaks out. I think mixing 1:1 would take care of that. Overall very pleased with the product. I would love to see Autopia or AG carrying the line.

I was debating on tiring HPC earlier today, I just stocked up on Cosmic, Cosmic v2 along with the CSL I already have I decided to hold off. I`m sure I`ll try it soon.

I have tried the metal and trim coating. Both are really easy to work with. My trim coating is still going strong after 3 years on my Saleen. Can`t tell if the metal coating is still on the exhaust tips or not. I have been wanting to try the paint coating for a while now and will at some point. I would definitely buy their products again.

Maybe if you could clarify the differences between all the different offerings.

I see about 4 different products for paint:

HPC High Performance Coating
VX Pro2
VX3 Signature
VX Pro

Does more expensive mean "better"? Easier to work with?

And like was earlier stated- they say "Glass Coating" so Im never quite sure if they are for paint, or windshields, or what.

Glass eludes to the fact that they are all silica based coatings... silica, SiO2, aka Quartz is used primarily in the production of glass.

The only windshield coating that 22ple makes is called 22ple VG1 Perfect Vision Window Coat. All 4 products you mentioned are silica coatings for paint.

As far as the difference between the coatings, check out my reviews on each of them as well as an article titled "22ple: In-Depth Discussion and Interview" on the Detailed Image Ask-A-Pro Blog. The In-Depth Discussion will go over some of the key differences between the coatings, and the review articles will provide some insight on application and expected performance.

The cost is generally a result of the quality of ingredients used. Pro2 uses a higher concentration of UHMW silica along with other proprietary ingredients where VX3 uses a lower concentration of silica with its own unique blend of supplementary ingredients. HPC adds fluorine to the mix to enhance beading and to create a "haze" effect while applying that indicates when the product is ready to wipe away. VX Pro is older technology, and quite frankly I`d use the newer, but cheaper VX3 over the older VX Pro.

If you have any specific questions after reading through the articles I mentioned, let me know or shoot me a PM and I will help you out.
