It looked like matte paint with clear coat on top

Yup, still LOVE your tape jobs. They have an "alternate/optional" trim color with the red tape, like the vehicle manufacturer should offer it, they are that neat and tidy (at least to me. My tape jobs look like an inept first-grader's art project!)

I came out nice!

Things Learned: A couple of rolls of tape and a little time are a lot cheaper than having to replace an OEM part!
