Merlin:
Does this "new" PRO Dquart Nano-Diamond coating require infrared curing?
And if so, how much time does it take under infrared lighting/heating to do so?
At first I thought the "DQuartz" was a typo, but now I assume the "D" means Diamond, as the "C" means Ceramic in the"XQuartz" naming to differentiate the two product offerings.

Also still waiting on your thoughts and experience using the new cordless IBrid HLR21 polisher and assume you are using that with a 5" backing plate as you did with its corded brother, the Bigfoot MarkIII 21 that you previously used.

And yes, I must concur that that Porsche color is very "unique"(Looks like Frozen Blue Metallic normally available on the Taycan, so I assume this a special order option by the customer) , as is your detailing abilities to make it stand out.

Excellent detailing workmanship!

It does not state IR baking is required in the DQUARTZ PRO instructions but I top it with CQUARTZ Finest Reserve so yes I do IR curing. 140f for 20 minutes per panel.

There is a big difference between D.QUARTZ PRO and consumer D.QUARTZ GO. D.QUARTZ Professional (PRO) is concentrated and MUCH stronger.

The HLR 21 works well. If I had it to do over I would purchase it again!

Pros:
Cordless battery operation. I love this. It makes it very handy!
Battery does last before recharge. I got 3-4 hours out of a charge.
It takes a little less than an hour to charge a battery.
Quiet and lightweight. IMHO it`s not a lot lighter but it is lighter.

Cons:
Backing plate and battery profile. The battery curves down and does not allow "getting in there" like the LHR.
On curved panels you have to swing the bottom around CC or counter CC to get the battery pack out of the way.
The LHR has a very small tail end where the AC cord is and it allows you to manuver the machine on curves better.
Possibly slightly less power. Not sure yet. If I use speed 4 on a LHR...I`ve been using speed 5 on the HLR. No biggie.
Due to the Backing plate and battery profile you need to be mindful (think ahead) of where you are polishing next.

Thank you!
I like the color and it turned out nice.
