Late to this discussion; one Captain Obvious question: Is the rear air finned spoiler at the bottom of the window made of carbon fiber OR painted metal? I see what looks like twin-cylinders in the middle to actuate this spoiler and I assume it is computer-controlled based on vehicle speed.
I also assume it can be "activated" manually and placed in a locked position for cleaning under it, as I assume you had to do to detail it and under it as well as its recessed jam area.

Thanks for posting this beautiful hue of blue Porsche.
I think I`ve said this about EVERY 911-GTS that you`ve detailed that it has to be a little bit tempting to upgrade from your current 911. Hey, we can all dream....but financial realities sometimes wake us up to just that: reality!

^^^Hi Lonnie! Better late than never!

It is painted fiberglass or composite material from what I can tell. And you are correct. It is speed activated as well as it can be manually operated. And I did just that, put it up to get under it.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Great Job! :dance2

It turned out SWEET!

Awesome color! When I was looking for a Macan recently, I really liked that color with the gray interior.

2 questions.
1. Does that alcantara seat on P-cars wear well from the ones you have seen? It looks like it could show contact points after a little while.
2. I ended up with a CPO Macan in carmine red. It sure does get swirls easy, is that because the paint is soft? I thought I had a good car wash method, but a boars hair brush I used just put lots of minor scratches all over it.
I had a burnt orange Boxster several years ago that didn`t seem to scratch so easy. (Zanzibar red) I plan to polish soon, but the paint scares me. (I am in a smallish town so not any pros here I would trust)

Always enjoy the car pics you post on here!

Thank you Mike! It is a great color!

Yes, the alcantara does show contact points easily, and it can get matted a little, but like with everything else, proper maintenance will really help it look it`s best for years!

Not necessarily so due to soft paint, most likely it is your wash/equipment process and as you stated, your brush seems like it the main culprit. (Although, some paint is `softer` and more easily marred)

Don`t be afraid, do a test spot and start with the least aggressive method first!

Thanks again, and good luck and have fun!
