You mention the use of the DeFelsko PTG for your vehicle details, but never mention the thicknesses you measured, or if you find any unusual thicknesses or paint quality issues.
I am curious about this Alfa-Romeo's production paint thickness or paint quality issues you measured or noticed, respectively. And if you find any of these annomolies how you address them.
I ask because you know very well from your detailing experience some higher-end vehicle 's production paint is "easier" to work with and make it look great.

I, too, like Setec, wonder what the owner's opinion is of his/hers experience driving and maintaining an A-R.

Excellent detailing. The dark grey looks like a miles-deep reflective mirror! (But see my qualifying question above.)

I've never been a SUV fan. I'm old enough to know what a "Station Wagon" is...
To me, a SUV is a shortened, bloated station wagon. I prefer 2 or 4 doors on a car or truck

Never an SUV fan either, but if you're going to have a time machine...er...an SUV, you might as well have one with style. Besides, everything seems to be going SUV, anyway. I've always been a hatchback guy, however my first car was a hand-me-down station wagon (aren't all of on here old enough to know what a station wagon is? Maybe we have some whipper snappers).

Speaking of Alfas, I was behind a new Giulio the other day, seemed very small. Not that that's a bad thing.

I want to know what "meat" I have to work with. Unless it's way off, thick or thin. Sometimes new vehicles come with PPF already installed.
A lot of it is done well and is difficult to distinguish from OEM paint. A PTG will let me know. Also, if an area has been repainted (Bondo, etc.)

I had someone come to me last week...Full clear coat failure hood, trunk, and roof. She said it looked great 6 months ago when she had it "detailed".
My thoughts were...The "detailer" who buffed her car in her driveway beat on it and took away way too much precious clear coat.
Yepper, all the YouTube videos that show these before-and-after vids. Not once do these folks measure the "meat" they have to work with.
When I measure, I do it in the microns setting rather than mils. I try to never take off more than 2 mils. Sometimes it's "Improve, Not Remove".

If the paint is thin from OEM I know to be careful. Modern paints are getting thinner and softer. A PTG is cheaper than me paying for a paint job!

I have a 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and it has been absolutely flawless. It's been in the shop only for oil changes and 2 recalls. First recall was to replace the incorrect Tire Pressure sticker on the drivers door jamb and the second recall had something to do with the back up camera. Other than that its been perfect. The vehicle is so much fun to drive. The internet is filled with people saying the car is unreliable but that's from people that have never owned or driven one.
I can answer any other questions that you might have.
