This client is a referral and just got her new Miata. It’s a cool little car, Mazda really stepped up their game on the new line of MX-5’s.

Paint was very thin from the factory, averaging 2.2-2.8 mils throughout. It had some holograms on some panels, swirls, some scratches and haziness that I found surprising due to the age/newness of the vehicle.

No matter, it will be taken care of!

Very nice! You gotta think Mazda is just waving the paint gun at the cars and hoping for the best! All the new ones I’ve seen have been like that.

Much better! As bad as it was swirled up you would think it was much older. I hate it that Mazda is being cheap on the paint. I was thinking of getting one of their highly rated SUVs for my wife, but now I’m reconsidering due to the paint. Saving money on paint helps them in the short term, long term there will be many peeling Mazdas on the road that will deter people from buying their products.

Scott - that is what most people hope for brand spank`n new at the dealer lot! You made it better than off the truck and put the automaker on call for shoddy workmanship on the paint.

Thanks everyone!

Yes, a shame they are `budget minded` when it comes to their paint, I think their autos are very good nowadays!

Fishroes, it`s been hot the past couple weeks, just had a cool front come through tonight, so it is going to be very nice the rest of this week!

Looks beautiful! Now that the paint is right, it needs some lowering springs and a manual transmission.

As always your attention to the small details makes a huge difference in the "Better than Showroom New" finish!

Nice catch on the paint and another GREAT job!
