The paint thickness was all over the board on this one...from thick to very thin.
The DeFelsko PosiTest DFT Paint Thickness Gauge was worth its weight in gold!

What specific areas of this Camaro were "from very thin to thick" and what were the specific measured thicknesses??
I ask because I assume this is Chevy production OEM paint that has not been repainted and am curious if this a unique OEM paint "anomaly" with this Camaro only OR if these varying paint thicknesses are common across all production Camaros.

One thing is for sure: Darth Vader is VERRY happy with your detailing prowess and workmanship!
(Did not know DV also owned a Camaro. I know he owns a `85 Porsche Carrera done by Sizzle Chest. Must like to spread the detailing wealth around OR he`s trying to see who is more on "The Dark Side". Reference: 1985 Porsche Carrera...Operation swirl city!)

By the way, I see from Sky`s The Limit Car Care (CarPro-USA.com) website that many of the Scholl Concepts compounds and polishes are out-of-stock. You and Sizzle Chest are one of the few professional detailers that uses and mentions them in this forum. Hope that this out-of-stock situation is just a short-term "problem". Their compound and polishes are kind of under-the-radar, but judging from your posted pics of vehicles you used them on, they are definitely worth considering purchasing and using by hobbyists like myself. That is IF we can get them!

Actually, it had "bodywork" done that the client was not aware of until I put a PTG on the paint.

Normal OEM paint thickness below (in microns) Drivers rear fender

Surprise fender. Extreme Caution! Passenger rear fender.

Also, there were areas where the paint was 65 microns.

By the way, I see that many of the Scholl Concepts compounds and polishes are out-of-stock.
You and Sizzle Chest are one of the few professional detailers that uses and mentions them in this forum.

Scholl Concepts Shock 2 Cut and Scholl Concepts S30+ Nano Compound (for DA) are favorites of mine.
Sadly, lots of folks are now having supply/distribution issues. I`m sure it`s not an "IF" it`s a when.
I hope the containers arrive soon. I like their polishes and pads.
