So I know a couple months ago I posted up about booking in a Nissan GTR for a full wheels off treatment. Unfortunately the day before he was scheduled to drop off the front bumper was struck in a parking lot.

Fast forward to last week and the owner contacted me stating that the GTR was ready for me. I got started on Sunday and buttoned it up on Tuesday afternoon.

This particular GTR has the factory "Scratch Shield" self healing clear coat which in some cases can be a PITA to correct. This particular car only needed correcting in some areas. The rest of the car got a light polishing. The front bumper, headlights, mirrors and half of the hood have clear bra so those areas were just coated.

Wash and prep

Wheels/tires cleaned with Iron-x and APC
Paint foamed with Tornador foam gun with a mix of general carwash soap and LATA
Paint decontaminated with Nanoskin medium towel and iron-x bath
Door jambs cleaned with LATA

Interior

Interior received a thorough cleaning with McKee`s total interior cleaner
Plastics and leather treated with McKee`s interior protectant
Carpets vacuumed and spot cleaned
Trunk vacuumed cleaned spot cleaned

Wheels

Wheels were removed and thoroughly cleaned with iron-x, blown dry and coated with PBL wheel coating
Brake calipers were also cleaned up and coated with PBL wheel coating.
Tires were dressed with Hyper dressing

Exhaust tips were cleaned up with d140, steel wool and polished with McKee`s RV aluminum polish

Paint

The spoiler, A pillars and a few other spots were compounded with g21, BOSS microfiber cutting pad and fast correcting cream
Paint was polished with Essence, g21, white LC pro thin pad.
Exterior glass was cleaned and coated with PBL glass coating
After leaving Essence to cure after polishing, the paint was wiped with Wolfgang Perfekt finish paint prep then coated with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light.
The next day I hit the paint with Polish Angel Cosmic Spritz.

Whoa! Someone got their moneys worth! Great job! I love the carpet lines and are those W7`s I see stuffed in the trunk? I`d LOVE to take that GTR down to Miami for a night or two :)

Beautifully done, Justin !
It looks perfect - you Killed It !!

How was it working on that paintwork ? Did you have to not get it hot and it was ok ?

Thanks for the incredibly Detailed work, the great pics, editing and posting up !
Yeah, I absolutely hate the wheel shapes - looks like a cartoon car to me - :(
That color is a bad contrast to the Brake Calipers color too..

Yes, the color is a great contrast to the white, but the wheel design - I will never buy those for my Jeep.. :)

Ha-ha thanks Ray! This car is super clean and well done IMHO. That`s great about the car community. The difference in style keeps everyone unique.
Thank for the share lol!!!

First off thank you very much for your kind words!

As for the paint. This one corrected fairly easy. The a pillars got hit with fast correcting cream and a microfiber cutting pad then polished with Essence like the rest of the car. The rear spoiler got the same treatment. I did notice that a few RIDs that would normally come out with a bit more work wouldn`t budge.

Spiffy Justin, nice work.

Thank you sir!

Great work on that GT-R. Not a fan of the wheels either, but you sure did a nice job of bringing that car up to Autopian standards.

my first thought when i saw the rims was wow they work with the white of car and red of the gtr.

My thoughts too!

Thank you Sir!

Why he add sub, Godgilla aready too heavy!

Why he add big wheels, Godgilla too heavy!

Well this one isn`t exactly stock either. Makes around 700awhp. I don`t get why people are so concerned about weight in a street car lol.

Plus those wheels actually very light aluminum! For a 22in wheel they are much lighter than my 19s on my gto. And I am willing to bet they weigh about the same as the factory wheels.
