Had the pleasure of giving a little love to this brand new C7 ZO6 over the past few days. Been waiting for this job since the beginning of the year when the customer first ordered it. This was the first C7 I have worked on and being a ZO6 it was nice to pick out all the race inspired features, from the brake cooling ducts, huge brakes and even the smooth underbody for aero purposes.
This customer drove 150 miles north and left his baby with me for the week to give it a thorough going over. Upon arrival the 500 mile car was a little dirty but overall was in nice shape. And even proved to be in good shape after the initial prepping stages.
Washed with Meguiars gold class shampoo
Paint iron-x and Fine nanoskin mitt
Wheels removed and cleaned with Iron-x, coated with BF Crystal Coat
Tires cleaned with Tuff Shine and topped with BF Total Eclipse tire shine
Carpeted wheel wells blown out with compress air. Plastic liners treated with prototype trim protectant
Calipers cleaned and coated with BF Crystal coat
Interior wiped down with BF interior cleaner
Leather coated with CQuartz leather coating
carpets vac'd, interior windows cleaned
Paint was in real good shape with very minor marks in it. I used SF4000, prototype white polishing pad on a Makita Rotary with slower rpms to bring out the gloss which worked very well. Also used my Flex PE8 with a green Flex polishing pad on tighter areas.
Paint was prepped with BF coating prep spray.
Paint coated with PBL V2
Glass Coated with PBL glass coating
Onto the pictures!
Upon arrival

In process of washing

Carpeted wheel wells all cleaned

Look at those massive brakes!!! All cleaned and coated

Wheels all cleaned and coated

Interior all cleaned and leather coated

Even machine polished the backs of the seats with my PE8!

All finished up!!!
