I had a client drop off his beautiful McLaren for some paint correction and ceramic protection! Wheels off, fender wells, calipers, complete wheel coating. Coat everything!

It had quite a few swirls and some minor blemishes/defects. It was going to look outstanding when completed!!! This paint color is a winner. 100%!!!!!!

The vehicle was first cleaned up with a waterless wash. The paint was clayed and paint thickness readings were taken.

Process/products/equipment/tools/etc:

McKee’s 37 914N waterless wash.
Adam’s waterless wash towels.
Griots medium nano wash mitt was used for claying and McKee’s37 914N as lube.
PTG: DeFelsko.
Lighting: Scangrip.
Machines: Rupes MkII 21, Rupes iBrid.
Pads: MF and foam.
Compound: Griot’s correcting compound
Polish: Griot’s Perfecting cream.
IPA/Wipedown: McKee’s37 914N.
LSP: BEEDS HD and ELX
APC: Adam’s
Wheel cleaner: McKee’s37
Tire dressing: GYEON tire.
Glass: SCG Pro cleaner and sealant.
Vacuum: Metro.
Interior: McKee’s37 Fast interior detailer.
Engine bay: Blackfire AIO tire/rubber/trim.

You sure work on some sweet cars and the results of your efforts definitely qualifies you as the guy to do it.

Thanks all! Appreciate the comments!

Brandt...was gonna, but I hate to rev/cold rev a client`s car!!!! It had a Fabspeed exhaust on it and sounded...well wonderful!

Thanks GearHead! That means a lot!

Ron...don`t get electrocuted!!!!

Awesome write up and amazing work. Your write ups are very clean, straightforward and the pictures are always top notch. You are one of the many forum members that keep me motivated as a weeknight\weekend warrior. For me it is easy to overthink\over complicate the process and products, but your write ups put things into perspective.

Nice work, as I have come to expect when I open one of your write-ups.

A perfect garage one 911, one 650s-that would not suck one bit!

Great job on a crazy car.

Which ceramic coating did you use.

I see your getting into McKee`s line a bit. I have not gone there yet. In general, I am not a big lover of the house brands anywhere, and I know they are made by someone else, but I see a lot of guys turning out top notch work using the McKee`s stuff. So a few questions on those if you don`t mind:

1. Do you like the performance of these as compared to other equal items?

2. If you used up all the Mckee`s products listed-TODAY, would you replace them or try something else?

3. What have you used from the line that is standout amazing?

4. What have you used from the McKee`s line I should not waste my money on?

Thanks for Posting and I appreciate your opinions on the above.

Garage looks like a perfect detailing environment!

You always get a nice assortment of cool cars in your garage. Great work and write up. That CF mirror is so clear, and polishing the key is just a testament to your level of detailing.

Thanks so much for the comments everyone! It makes it `worth it` to take the time and effort to post up my work/process/etc when I get such great responses! It is very much appreciated and I am glad everyone is enjoying my write ups!!!

I would say they are on par with the other top tier name brand offerings.

2. If you used up all the Mckee`s products listed-TODAY, would you replace them or try something else? Some I would re-stock, some not.

3. What have you used from the line that is standout amazing? Matte detailer. SI02 blue. Paint sealant. Interior detailer. AIO leather cleaner/conditioner. (my names may be off, I am not looking at their site for the correct ones now)N914 Rinsless is awesome and has a LOT of uses and a little goes a long way. Tire shine is nice. Wheel cleaner is good.

4. What have you used from the McKee`s line I should not waste my money on? I have not used their entire line up yet, I still have a few things to use and try out. As of right now, I am not a fan of the rubber/tire cleaner. That`s about it right now...

Thanks for Posting and I appreciate your opinions on the above. My pleasure!

Garage looks like a perfect detailing environment! Thanks, I try to make it so it is!!

I have been looking forward to viewing this write-up on a large monitor since you texted me the paint shot! That color is fantastic!

Oh, and glad you found a good use for the Nano!:)
