2014 Corvette C7 with Gloss Enhancement & CQuartz Finest

[Merlin]

Brand new 2014 C7 covered in fine scratches w/35 miles on the ODO.

Wash: 2 bucket with Wookies fist. Decon: IronX, ultra fine clay bar.
Scratch removal: Rupes 21 with D300 and Megs 5" mf finishing disc.
Gloss Enhancement: Lake Country 5" Gold foam with Carpro Reflect.
Coating Prep: Car-Pro Eraser wipe-down twice on all paint surfaces.
Fly-By-30 on glass, Dlux on trim and tires. Engine: Sonus Motor Kote
Coating: Finished with CQuartz Finest on paint, wheels and calipers.

I wish I had a camera that was good enough to show the loaded BEFORE paint scratches.
Is it me or is it that dealerships do not seem to care about delivering a pristine product?
Note: The center panel on the hood is a decal. I believe the mirrors and spoiler are painted.

Thank you, hopefully (one day) I'll own a decent camera rather than a little point and shoot.
I really would like to be able to capture the visual detail of the scratches and imperfections.

Thank you for your kind words. I am happy with the final result. I'm not sure why, but in this case, it took a while to tweak in the right polish/pad combo.

Thank you, I give the credit for the POP to Carpro Reflect. I honestly don't think Finest has a gloss finish. I understand you can use Finest on matte paint.

Thank You. It had a sweet sparkle when it was completed. Dont you just hate it when the owners drive 'em away.
I will admit I do stand there and smile a bit as they go down the road. It gives me a nice sense of self satisfaction.

How many hours?

From wash to wiping off that final smudge...a total of 18 man-hours. Yes, that's two detailers doing a 9 hour day.
It is the only way, I have found, that I can get the amount of work that needs to be done completed in one day.

Interesting...
The hood and roof are carbon fiber and had the better OEM paint work.
The 2014 frame is aluminum & the fiberglass body had lots of orange peel.

BTW - Did I mention 7 speed manual?
