2013 GMC Acadia

This was a coworker of my wife's SUV. We had done an exchange of her husband putting up our back splash and I would detail her vehicle in return. The GM clear coat lived up to its reputation on this one. The paint was very hard to get corrected. I originally started with BlackFire SRC on an orange pad and had to bump it up to Menz Fast Gloss 400 on an orange pad to get the cut I was looking for. The interior was already in good shape so that made the detail a little easier. On with the pics

Looks great! It's amazing how good it looked in the shade until you got it under the lights for the before pics. This was just a 1-step with the Menz FG 400? or did you switch to a less aggressive pad and also finish with the same polish? If it was just the 1-step then I am really amazed at the shine for something that cut that well.

Thanks! I did a few panels with Blackfire SRC on an orange pad and most were done with Menz FG400. I started on speed 6 with my Flex 3401 then kicked it down to 4.5 to bring out a little more gloss. These compounds have not let me down yet.

Great job :) I hope your backsplash came out just as well.

Thanks. He did a great job on the back splash especially considering whoever installed our cabinets before we bought the house had them installed so there was a nice slope to them.
