2011 M3 Correction

This was a pretty new car but unfortunately according to the owner, his mitt may have had something trapped in it because the whole car had deep random scratches. There were no swirls or cobwebs amazingly.

Due to the color, I didn't bother taking befores as it would have been hard anyway. Here is one though, the worst.

The objective was to remove all imperfection (one 1/2" sratch remains on the hood which was the worst panel) but it is very hard to see under most type of lights and a durable wet looking finsh.

PROCESS:

QEW
3D MILD CLAY
3D QD
HD UNO - PFW/SURBUF COMPOUNDING PADS
HD UNO - ORANGE POLISHING PADS
HD UNO - BLACK/RED FINISHING PADS
DODO JUICE PRIME LITE - GREEN/BLUE FINISHING PAD
MAGIC WAX - WHITE POLISHING PAD
HD TIRE GEL
IG ON WINDOWS

Here is the car days later.

Hard lesson to learn, but probably one that won't soon be forgotten.

Awesome looking car. The M3 sedan is definitely on my top 5 cars list that are realistic.

What were your thoughts on the paint quality? I did a black '09 M3 convertible earlier this year and the orange peel was horrible. I would have crapped my pants if my near six figure car was delivered to me with paint like that. I'm wondering if it was just the black or if all of them look like that.

Thanks everyone!!!!

J - For some reason I have done a huge % of BMWs over the years and know most colors. All with pretty bad OP.

As a side note, I have put 5 days into an 09 Jerez Black M3 and still have 40% to do. There are so many scratches yet it is a pretty new car. This is my first Jerez Black BMW. Each scratch is very deep. God only knows what the car was washed/wiped with.:wall:wall:wall:wall:wall

The finish looks fantastic, never heard of magic wax before. How do you like the 3d line? I am thinking of a few of their products.
