Use only 100 percent cotton terry cloth toweling on your paint. Some people recommend cotton diapers, but they can damage your paint. The nap of a cotton terry cloth towel protects the finish from particles caught between the surface and the towel. Beware of synthetic blend towels, too. Synthetic blends may scratch your surface.
Refrain from turning your application towel over to its other side to apply a different product. Some ingredients might soak through, changing the complex chemical balance.
If you should encounter streaking:
1. Make sure you're not using too much wax. A little Carnauba Wax goes a long way. A thin coat is all that's required.
2. Be sure to wipe down with a clean terrycloth towel that has not been treated with sizing.
3. Warm and re-wipe the car’s finish. Brazilian Carnauba is hygroscopic. The natural effect of water, moisture and oil can be over come by allowing the finish to warm in the sun for a few minutes, followed by a brisk wipe down with a clean towel.
4. Store your Carnauba wax in a cool dark place preferably refrigerated (do not freeze!). Warm waxes to room temperature before using. Paint surfaces must be above 65 degrees for wax to bond.
