2009 Porsche 997 C4S Refinement Detail

I think that I am noticing similar results as others after a few washes. There is a slight decrease in gloss. It still feels really smooth to me and after using the QD, most of the gloss and slickness returns....but not all. I have Klasse on another car for 5 months now and it still shines like it was put on yesterday. So there is a durability (of shine) issue with BF. I don't know if this correlates to a loss of protection to the paint. However, I did throw another coat on....took me all of 1/2 hour on and off total. Shine is restored and the shine is definitely more pleasing to my eye than Klasse or Zaino by a notch or two. I am considering layering on some Blitz or Souveran, or even trying a layer of ZFX/Z2. I can tell you that the new layer of BF does a very good job of hiding the very minor swirls that tend to happen with washing.

Just to be fair. I have about 6 layers of SG over 1 layer of AIO on the other car. I only had 2 layers of BF on the Mustang. I just got finished putting on 3 more layers of BF. So I will continue to watch its performance. The shine is at least as good as Souveran, very creamy and deep. But the shine needs to last longer than 2 or 3 washes (with BF wash).

Just completed, this Porsche is taken car of very well by the owner however he could not get the car from 80% to 100% or as close to it for having over 7,500 miles on the odometer.

Usual thorough wash/clay procedure, along with cleaning the wheels and wheel wells as good as I could get them without dis-mounting the wheels. This would be an exterior correction with a vac.

This is where I started the polishing on the rear spoiler , as there was marring in hard to reach areas.

It took some time but acheived the look the owner wanted.

Spent time on the roofline as well, lots of RIDS adjacent to leading edge of moonroof.

Clearfilm finished down nicely.

As I have said before, the Gen 2 997's have a nicer finish than the Gen 1 997's.

Nice work on the car and catching the Porsche wall mounted sign smack in the middle of the hood!

Were those slats ploished by hand or machine?

Beautiful work as usual Bob.

If I ever hit it big and buy a "Supercar", and move to CA., I am booking a detail with you my friend!!!!
