2009 Chevy Silverado

A local fireman buddy of mine bought this used truck recently. He couldn't stand the swirls, water spots, and scratches in the finish. He finally broke down and brought it to me one day and here is the result.

Polished with D300, Megs 5 inch MF cutting disc, LC black pad/M205, and Griots Gen 3 polisher.

That looks really good. Those wheels/tires and fender wells look awesome. Good job.

thank you sir.

Yes, I did that all with the Griots Gen 3 6 inch polisher. Its really funny, I was looking to buy a Flex or Rupes last year after getting more into corrections, and I found a returned Griots Gen3 6" for $75 shipped. I still use my 8-9 year old PC for applying waxes, spot buffing, getting into tight spots etc..

I take pride in those wheel wells. No one around here does that. I degrease, clean, scrub them down. Then apply hyper dressing.

Guilty :(

I used to get picked on all the time for not cleaning the wheel wells, I thought people just gave up on me

kinda of a signature thing I got going here. Every person that comes to pick their vehicle up responds "O, I didn't know you cleaned in there? looks great"

How do you deal with the newer mesh/fiber/fabric parts of wells?

hard to beat a clean shiny truck. :D

I have them on the front only of my 2013 F150. I rinsed them down first with a good burst of water. Then scrub them with my Mothers fender well brush and some soap. (wolfgang, DP) I then rinse them well with another shot of strong water blast. Dry them with my STIHL blower.

I coated one fender well of mine with 303 fabric guard to see how easy the dirt and road muck comes off.

Excellent looking job! And I'll agree those wheel-wells look great! I too hate doing them on vehicles, especially they VW. It's so cramped in there I get lazy...

Ive done a couple Camrys where you don't really see in there. I still try to clean what I can reach. I agree it isn't the highlight of the exterior for me, but I try to go the extra mile just like I would on my personal truck.
