2008 red bmw X3 correction

Looked very good from 20 feet away. Interior nearly perfect, as was the engine. (both detailed before the auction)

However as I walked closer, I noticed problem areas right away. The whole car was trashed.

Spent 18 or so hours on it to bring it back to 95% or so. Some deeper RIDS remained but very few.

Process was:

JOY foam bath

3D clay

HD UNO wool 2400rpm

HD UNO orange pad/hd uno pad 1500rpm

HD UNO white ccs pad flex

HD UNO black ccs pad flex

EZ CREME Glaze green ccs pad flex

HD POXY gray 3M pad pcxp

PS: Hood was worst, but didn't think about taking pictures first, as I stopped documenting for awhile now. However the red looked so good afterwards I changed my mind.

Man, my back hurts just thinking about all the work you did! The owner was lucky he found a guy willing to go the extra mile to bring that back from the dead.

Good point Thomas, it's been a long time since I did a red car - Jetta wagon with TDI. It seems like everything is black, white or gray these days.

Thanks John. It was typical BMW clear. Not bad, considering late last year I worked on an 09 JEREZ BLACK M3 that took nearly 70 hours and still couldn't get all the rids out. :(

This was actually easy. :D

Great work Thomas. I'm sure that clear was about as hard as a rock too.

Yes, not too many "different colors", but yesterday I did a 911 that was brick red from 1977.
