2008 BMW 328 (Zaino vs. older deatil)

The BF SRC was probably the most distinguished part of this detail. If only you could see how well it reflected when sun was directly shinning on it. Careful though, this stuff eats right through conventional clear coats!

Think so? I tried it on an orange pad via pc and it seemed like it had much less cut then menz ip. I was careful when first using it, i guess the fact that it's for "scratch resistant clear" made me a little nervous. But now i think it's just a great fp to use on any clear. It cleans up the menz ip rather nicely.

Have you tried the blackfire sealant yet? Stuff is awesome and super easy to buff off.

Car looks great Dan!

If you are looking for that extra boom then I would honestly learn the rotary and step up to SIP also. This is where I get the full depth and clarity out of paints. With the rotary I can tweak Menzerna to it's max peak level. With a pc you are honestly very limited to how far you can bump the finish. I have done both methods side by side and the rotary side is night and day difference. If you ever buy a rotary, I will give you some lessons:grinno:

Also, I use CS after Z5 and to my eyes, it really makes a big difference after 6 hours after it bonds with Z5. Then I top with Z8 after for eye popping thick gloss.:shocked

Your car looks excellent though and I love that color!!!!! I can't wait to get my hands on a 328 that color to detail. :grinno:

Thank you for your comments Ryan, an as always I'm humbled by your willingness to help me out :)

I will try adding CS, though I believe I'll switch to a wax after that. If I do 2 layers of Z5, how long before I can add CS? Also, how much longer do I have to wait before the Z8 wears off my car (so I can put a more durable, long lasting z5 over it)?

You should be careful, I ate RIGHT THROUGH my aunt's clear with an orange pad on her rear bumper with the stuff. I have not used their sealant. If I didn't have Zaino laying around, I'd be very open to it.

Anytime you need help just send me a messege or call.

I put CS on right after z5. I let it sit up for 1 hour then use z8. They all bond very well and the gloss and wetness will get nice and thick, especially the next day.

Are you sure you did it and it was not there? Using a PC should not burn through using SIP or 106. I know the orange pad is stiff, and if anything would have eaten through, it would have been the orange pad. Just use a polish pad on soft paint.

One can apply Z2,Z5, CS at anytime after Z8. You do not need to wait until Z8 wears away. Z8, in other words, will allow any of the Zaino sealants to bond perfectly. Many, like myself use Z8 between the final 2 layers of Z2 or Z5 instead of Z6.

Well, I was applying A LOT of pressure. I had gotten lazy and didn't want to wait for the pad to do its job :wall

Really, I was always given the notion that z8 is like a spray sealant and thus not as durable?
