2007 Subaru WRX STi

Before winter comes, and my outdoor water is shut off, I decided to do a big detail on the car, and prepare it for winter.

Steps I took:

ArmorAll Wheel Cleaner on Wheels (including inside of rims)

Washed w/ Ultima Paint Guard Wash

Claybar'd with Mothers Clay Bar Kit

Klasse All-In-One Polish/Sealent @ 4,000 RPM w/ Green Polishing Pad

P21S Carnauba Car Wax @ 3,000 RPM w/ Blue Finishing Pad

Windex'd Windows Inside/Out, and Head/Tailights

All polishing and waxing was done with my new Ultimate Detailing Machine. (UDM) The Klasse AIO was very easy to work with, and even after just polishing the car with this stuff, it felt like it had been waxed. It's also an acrylic sealant, and provides lots of protection. Add a couple layers of probably one of the best waxes on the market, and your good to go, for 5-6 months!

All in all, this took me about a good 7-8 hours. The longest part was probably claybaring the car, but it was well worth it. The entire car is incredibly smooth now.

I plan to order some RallyArmor mud flaps soon, and put those on before winter actually comes. I'm thinking the black ones, w/ Grey lettering? What do you think?

Below are some pics that I took earlier today.

I always enjoy looking at a clean suby! The rallyarmors would look nice in the color scheme you mentioned.

Nice job.

Nice winter tires :P

Haha, they are the stock Potenza RE070's. I use them for daily driving during the summer, and I have an autocross next weekend. Therefore, I'm leaving them on for this week. Then after I take off my competition wheels, I will put my winter setup on.

Summer:

17x8 Stock BBS Silvers

225/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE070's

Competiton: (track + autocross)

17x8 Hyper Black Rota G-Forces

245/40/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE01-R's

Winter:

looks good. If you ever get your windows tinted, i'd advise to not use windex.

and lol, nice plate, surprised no one had that plate already

Klasse All-In-One Polish/Sealent @ 4,000 RPM w/ Green Polishing Pad

P21S Carnauba Car Wax @ 3,000 RPM w/ Blue Finishing Pad

What machine are you using to hit 4000

Looks nice in the pic's for sure, why use kaio@4k??? what machine????

Why p21s @3k WOW!!!!! I really don't get it, but if it worked as the pictures illustrate, great.

Ahhh you mean opm's I gottcha. I was gonna say with soft subie paint maybe all you need is a wax to correct that stuff :lol. when you say rpm's that refers to rotary buffing not dual action, it's cool though minor typo. Good job it looks very slick.

Always like the subie over the ev0

but the evo performance is pulling me in.....

I cant decide....

UberClean car btw

Thanks!

When it comes down to it, the EVO handles slightly better out of the box. Although, in terms of acceleration, the STi has a slight upper hand, also in stock form.

Although, the EVO's interior is VERY basic, and always has been. The STi's interior is much better in my opionion, therefore since this is my daily driver, it was an easy choice between the two. The car has a mild case of understeer stock, but nothing a bigger front swaybar can't fix. :)

Nice looking Suby. I own a 2004 Rally blue with a little engine work putting out about 482 HP , lower springs , front and rear suspension bracing etc. There is guy in my neighborhood that owns a few Porches and somehow we always end up at a red light side by side . It has been my pleasure beating him over the last 3 years . He is a rich guy but a real jerk :grrr . Anyway since his last Porsche 911 4S he bought a 2007 Turbo . So I just did a Alcohol injection that should bump me up 30-40 more HP . :) It is nice to be able for a little money keep beating his *** .

Good work on the paint .

Cheers , Jean Paul

LOL I thought the same thing when I read 4000 RPM lol...

4000 OPM is a big difference from RPM, great job though, P21s always looks amazing on Silver!
