2007 Black Z06 Vette goes under the Tru Shine knife!

I took a trip back up to Healthy Balance Meals up in Sevierville TN to take on the 07 Z06 vette. These people are great! and their food is even better! When I got there the weather wasn't the greatest but I was crossing my fingers that the sun was going to pop out!

This was my First Full mobile job with my new trailer, so I was very excited to try out my whole new set up.

It took me about 30 min to learn to park this crazy thing but I finally got it!

I got started by letting the Chemical Guys "Diablo Wheel Gel" dwell for a good 10 minutes, this stuff is completely PH balanced and wont hurt any type of wheel surface or bake pads, but yet it eats away brake dust like no other!

The barrels were really black, the wheels really should have been removed and cleaned individually and clayed and steam cleaned, but the owner didn't want to go to that extent

So I just gave it a real good scrubbin!

I knocked all the heavy stuff off with my Troybilt pressure washer and began my Single bucket w/ Grit guard and some Joy dish detergent to strip all previous wax off of the car.

The exhuast tips were caked on and stained with black soot. I used P21s Polishing w/ #0000 steel wool to scrub it all of to a nice polished shine

After the Wash I began to claybar the car with my automagic blue fine clay and some diluted ONR as clay lube.

The car had really bad Water etching from numerous times of owner letting the car air dry in the sun :(

Here is a 50/50 test spot of the paint surface after M105/cyan hydrotech pad via FLEX 3401 seen with my Brinkman Duel xenon swirl finder light.

Now She's all taped up ready for some love!

I decided to use the Rotary with Meguiars W66 backing plate to speed up the process

Here is another 50/50 using the Brinkmans Duel Xenon Swirl Finder.

Hopefully I'll be getting this car to detail later on down the road :)

This is me trying out the Meguiars G110v2, I love this thing!

Polished out with M205/Tangerine Hydrotech pad via FLEX 3401

The pollen started getting out of control and we had to bring the car inside to finish it down without marring up the finish with pollen scratches

So after all the polish was completed I applied Black Fire Wet diamond with the Lake country Blue Finishing pad Via G110v2

After letting it cure, I removed the BFWD and here are some of the Final Shots!

Excellent work. I have heard that Corvette Paint is rather hard to polish. I now have to by CG Diablo Wheel Gel

Great work Eric! Looks like you had some tight working quarters in that shop!

lol yeah, but I just gotta hold my breath and sqeeze in my gut and I can reach everything!:rofl

lol @ "previous wax" I doubt that thing has had wax in the 4 years he's had it :) But nice to see Eric going the extra mile as usual.

Eric did a great job. I wish I could have been there more but that wasn't happening that day.

Thanks again man :woot2:

Nice job Eric! Nice set up with the tent with the side walls too; I thought about getting those but just didn't want to have them clogging up the trailer all the time when not in use. Looks good!

Very nice job on that Vette. You see taking it back out into daylight is the true test. No matter how you go about the detail....if your heart is in it, you will always be able to see it in the results! Great job. These Vettes have great paint on them.

You sure have oodles of equipment there. I do travel lighter, no pressure washer and the like. But again to each his own. All the best with the new trailer, I also like your truck. Ben

Yeah I like to be prepared for anything that can come my way. I dont have a water tank or genny but I dont mind because I get to use the customers. Thanks for the comments.

I just downloaded some photos from my camera. This is my favorite from that day by far.
