Hey everyone, I did this car for a good friend of mine on Saturday, I'm not sure if you remember but I detailed his other car a while ago, his 2004 Procharged DSG Mach 1, here is the link to the thread, http://autopia.org/forum/click-brag/83291-2004-procharged-mach-1-56k-warning.html
We think there was something wrong with the tune in his car, because he was running a built motor and the p1sc, but at the track a couple weeks ago, his car ended up blowing a nice hole in one of his pistons
So now he's getting a teksid block, CP pistons, cobra crank and rods, then getting everything cryoed, as well as upgrading his P1SC to an F1 :woohoo:
So as a result, he bought this 2006 Ranger for a daily driver while he gets everything set up for his mach. He brought the truck over and the previous owner had obviously parked it next to some sprinklers, due to the bad water etching...The only thing wrong with the car was really the etching, and some stains on the upholstery, but as you'll see I pretty much got everything out!
Exterior:
-NXT Wash
-Pinnacle Spot Clay
-Optimum Compound/LC Orange pad
-Optimum Poliseal/LC White Pad
-AJT
-Wheel wells degreased with Simple Green 4:1, Pressure Cleaned, then dressed with AA/Hyper Dressing
-Motor Degreased with Simple Green 4:1, AA Foam/Hyper Dressing 2:1
-Tires are wearing AA Tire Gel
Interior:
-Vacuum
-Meg's APC 4:1 Upholstery/Floor
-Vinyl/Floor/Mats received Hyper dressing cut 2:1
-Stoners IG

And finally, some pictures of the paint. Ford has really got their act together because this truck's paint was very nice. Compared to my 03, the orange peel on this car was extremely minute compared to my mach and the flake was just incredible!!!
Some pictures of the water etching, in the second picture you can see the upper portion of the hood still has some, I was doing 1/4 sections at a time...If you look at the lower light you will see the compounded surface
