2006 F430 Spyder by Immaculate Reflections

My PC goes to 7...
I had my bottle of SG open this evening, and noticed that it smelled really rank. OK, SG always has kind of a rotten smell, but this was reeeeeally putrid! It smelled like some bacteria had gotten in there and were going to town -- kind of like potato salad that had been sitting out in the sun for a couple of weeks.

Does anyone know if SG can indeed putrify? Does it contain anything that could support bacterial growth? Man, it smelled bad!

how old is your SG? I have a two year old SG and AIO that haven't spoiled yet..

I don't know if this make any difference: but do you store it in the bathroom or near water? do you store it near any other chemical?

I would also like to know the 'longevity' of Klasse...for anyone who have used them the longest

:)

I bought this Klasse last summer, so it's not too old. It is stored in the basement right now with all my other detailing supplies, but the humidity level is fairly low.

My Klasse has the same smell and is about 9 months old. The AIO doesn't smell, only the SG. Strange.

Hey! Do that in the privacy of your own home, we have young kids here.

Klasse is water based correct? hmmm well that might open it up for microbial contamination, aka, like you said rot!

If any of Klasse's properties change, smell, color, consitency, it would probably be a good indication that it has gone bad.

Is the smell more "fungal" or rotten then chemical?

That's a first for me (and I smell the stuff all the time ;))...very interesting.

I just opened up my bottle of SG, and it does have a weird non-chemical smell to it. Dave is correct, it almost smells like it's rotting. I wonder if when you apply this stuff after it's possibly gone bad is when the mysterious Klasse haze appears?

The bottle of SG states that it does not contain any water. Although the consistency would make you think it does.

Does it smell of nasty feet OR spoiled milk?

Have anything to compare it too?

I just went and smelled mine and well it smells of chemicals not all that different from the AIO.

My SG has more of a rancid bacterial smell (as opposed to a musty fungal smell). From day 1 it had a worse chemical smell than the AIO, but now it's downright STINKY!

In response to an earlier post, my SG has never frozen.

My 16oz used bottle of Klasse smells bad just like Daves Klasse, i only use it on my wheels now. My new 33oz bottle of KSG just smells of chemicals not rotten s**t. :nixweiss

2006 Ferrari F430 Sypder

I did this one a while back, but thought I'd share it here...

It was in excellent shape when I started working on it (and only 6700 miles), so the before pics aren't anything special. No swirls at all amazingly, so no correction was needed. There was one spot on the front that was etched and wouldn't come out, just fyi.

Process
-clayed with Zaino Z18 and Z6
-leather with Zaino Z9 and Z10
-carbon fiber with Zaino AIO
-door jambs with Zaino AIO
-tires with Zaino Z16 x2
-wheels and calipers with Zaino AIO
-body got:
1 coat ZAIO
1 coat Z2pro
1 coat ZCS
finished withe Z8 Grande Finale

Hope you enjoy!
