2006 Corvette Detail

Hi Folks. This was todays project. I commuted 1.5 hours to the detail and got to work. The car was already looking great when I showed up. It was previously zaino'd and already washed. The vehicle has some amazingly tasteful modifications that you may be able to pick out. The owner, Jeremy, has a GREAT eye for detail.



- In case anyone is interested, this was not your typical PITA corvette clear. It did seem a bit harder than GM, but was definitely workable.



Process:



Z6 wipedown

Z18 Clay

HTEC/OP via polishing pad - cutting pad on parts. @1500-1800

Menzerna Po85rd via finishing pad @ 1500

ZAIO

Z5pro

ZCS



ZAIO - Z2pro on rims. Z16 on tires/wells/trim

Z14 to polish plastics.

I don't think I've ever said this before ... but it looks perfect. The paint doesn't appear to have any swirls or hazing, the wheels and tires looks great, the windows, the engine, everything. Plus it being a red Corvette helps. But anywho great job.

Thanks. There were a couple scratches in a few areas that didn't completely come out (could feel them with the fingernail). I heard window tinters mentioned. They must have put their gear on the car.

Agreed. Everything on this thing was extremely tasteful. The black door handles and small spoiler were painted to match the car. Just these little things really made this car look special.

CCW's and what appears to be a Borla exhaust along with the painted engine covers and rotors....



Looks outstanding!



Nothing like a red 'Vette.

Just an aside...don't you hate those stupid little "GM" badges? Behind the doors on Corvettes, front fenders on all other new GMs. :hairpull
