2005 Mustang Gt revisited w/Finish Kare products.

03COBRA

I miss my 03 Cobra......
Well there is still no sunlight here in (cough...cough) sunny California. Hopefully soon there will be some sunlight here so I can get you guys some sunny pics of the car.

Recently I was introduced to Finish Kare USA products. I have to say that the FK1 Pink Wax is top notch. You simply apply the stuff and let it sit for about 15 minutes, then buff off with ease. I will be posting an official review of the stuff using Anthony Orosco's method later today. I will also be posting a review of the new Poorboy's car wash! So look for those later!

Mustang: Prior to today Wolfgang Selant/Souveran Combo
Today:
--Wash w/Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds
--Finish Kare FK1 Pink Wax By Hand w/Pakshak Yellow Foam Applicator

Next up, Dad's Taurus. This thing is his company car. Lot's of road trips, lot's of miles. He does wash it by hand at home when I'm not around, I got him away from the free car wash with a $10 gas purchase. I have done a few combos on this thing, but this one is the best so far! Sorry for the ok pics, I had very little light!

PROCESS:
--Wash w/Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds
--Clay w/Meguiar's Last Touch
--Menzerna FP II Via PC and LC 7.5" Concaved Polishing Pad on 5
--UPP By Hand w/Pakshak Yellow Foam Applicator
--Finish Kare FK1 Pink Wax w/Pakshak Yellow Foam Applicator

--Poorboy's APC (8:1) on Wheels, Tires, Wells, Lower panels
--Interior Cleaned w/Woolite Mix (6:1)

--Poorboy's BnB On Tires
--303 On Interior, and Lower trim

Awesome! How do ya like Finish Kare products? Did the PB APC work well?

Thanks Woob. I love the Finish Kare FK1 Pink Wax. I have their sealant on order, so when I know on that I will make a post about it! As for the PB's APC, it's very nice. I used it on the wheels on the Taurus and it really broke up all of the brake dust and grime on them. the smell is very nice as well, not like the other PB's stuff, but not as harsh as the Meguiar's APC. I had problems with the Meg's APC drying on me if I didn't clean it off in time. The PB's APC stays very wet on what ever you apply it to. It works very nice on the wells.

Here is my review!

Cobra,

Thanks for the quick response. Did you use Meguiar's APC+? Right now I don't see the need for a gallon sitting on my shelf since the smell is ridiculous whenever I spray. Glad I have PB's though :D

Here you go woob!
Here is my review!

Yes that's the stuff. I don't know, I have a hard time with the Woolite mix and the Meg's APC mix. But the PB's APC is good for me! I dillute it 8:1 it may be a little strong, but I would rather have it that way!!

Has you tried the PB in interiors? I struggle with some alot of marks on plastic panels in my van etc. Sometime on doors. Basically stained plastic :(

Thanks!
Brandon

Nope, I haven't woob. I just started using it today. I have a feeling I will like it though. So far I really like the woolite mix on interiors. But I hope that I like it on interiors, that way I can use it on everything.

Well done, 03Cobra.

Your pictures helped illustrate the results. But providing such complete information in your step-by-step process was super useful! Nicely done!

Thanks Seiko. I like to know what and how people use products. So even though I am just an obsessed detailer, I think people might still be interested in what I use! I loosely base my criteria on GSRstilez' method, with my own little touches!

Re: Well done, 03Cobra.

Nice Mustang.... I test drove one about 2 months ago and contimplated trading in my 00' GT convertible ... but decided that I would wait untill 06 when the cobra is going to be re-leased.

It seems as though they finnaly got it right with this one!

It does seem like they got it right this time. However, I think once the new Cobra comes out, I will pick up another 03 Cobra when all the 03 owners are gettind rid of theirs. Probably see a good price to!!
