2005 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson Edition ...

Clean Dean

Keep it clean !!!
Been HOT up her in NJ, and yesterday unfortunately a got a late start on this black 05 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson pick-up. The car had the typical car wash scratches and swirls you would expect on the CC black Ford paint. After washing and claying, I leveled out the swirls with Hi Temps HCL & Optimum polish (50:50) and the rotary with green foam pad. Spent some time on the chrome wheels. Next I broke out the PC and 3M’s Finesse IT with an orange pad. Paint looked really wet, and about 85% of the wash scratches were removed. Sealed with Meguiars #21. The bug deflector up front was heavily oxidized, and cleaned up rather easily with the HCL/Optimum combo with the rotary set at about 2400 rpms.

I really like the low stanch of this pick-up and the super charged engine left me longing for my old 2001 Ford lightning I sold about a year and a half ago. I really loved that truck !!!

That truck is beautiful. I love the way they sit as well, have any pictures of your lightning? Another one of my favorite trucks. Paint looks great though.

Beautiful as ever Dean!!

Jmiller07,

I will look through my hard drive. It was a 01 in white, and was tuned a bit by the original owner. I went through my first set on tires in about 10k miles. The truck was absolutely so much fun to drive, and I loved seeing the look of other drivers as I pulled away at traffic lights. Would like to get a later model in black in the future.

1 Clean WS6,

Thanks !!! The wheels were pretty bad inside, and I was unhappy with the amount of chrome that peeling off inside the wheels. The little things that will drive guys like us nuts.

Thanks again guys !!!
