2005 BMW 330ci - Clear and shiny

Merlin

A Miracle Detailing
To start the vehicle had some but very few swirls. Kinda surprising for a 2005.
The paint was mostly flat and dull. I appeared like you were looking into a fog.

Washed with dawn and clay using Clay Magic Med (red). Stubborn contaminants.
After working a test spot I used a Flex PE-14 with a 6.5" LC CCS orange pad.
I polished it with Menz SIP and M105. I found this to be an interesting combo.
Primed the pad. For an X pattern I used one line of SIP & one line of Megs M105
For a dot pattern I used two drops of Menz SIP and alternated two drops of M105
I have found this to be cleaner to use by almost 90%. Minimal flashing & splatter.

I followed that with a PC DA using KBM, a white 5.5" flat pad and Megs M205.
I then followed with the FLEX PE-14 and a black 6.5" CCS pad with Menz PO85rd.

After the above polishing process the paint was swirl free, crisp, sharp and shiny.
I cleaned the paint with an IPA wipe down and applied three coats of Z-2 with ZFX.
In this case the customer was focused on "shiny" and Z-2 does that with longevity.

It's nice to see someone "fall in love" with their car when they come to pick it up.

Before Polishing (Can you see the "fog" in the hood?)

That is a fantastic improvement!! Haven't tried mixing polishes but have thought about it. Great tip.

looks good merlin. big difference in the before and after reflections. this would fall in the "oooooh shiny" category.

Looks Great! Interesting combo. I guess the oils helped in the sip? What's with the cloudy BMW's Ive seen a few here?
