Gentleman how is everyone? Hopefully all is well. Its been a while since I did a write up. Between getting into the new shop, family and some more new adventures as I began to take Presidential Details to the next level I finally got a chance to relax and do a small write up. This was the very first car finished in the new building. Please excuse some of the walls in the wash bay and some of the other things. The building is not fully complete, but I was eager to get back at it. I have a crazy schedule ahead with some really crazy cool jobs! Stay tuned. Anyways, this Absolutely stunning 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo was the first car in a long time that got me a little giddy you could say. Not many cars really get me excited, I have worked on so many over the years. What to say about this one though. It came dressed in the all famous and very rare paint color Rosso Vik Red. Now I’m not certain on this, the owner commented that they only produced something like 200 Lamborghini’s in this color. Oh yea, did I mention the owner let me drive this thing to the shop!!!

Well here is how this sexy car came!

I got started with my normal decontamination. It consisted of a good Citrus Soaking to remove all previous layers of wax. The wheels although dirty clean up great with the Citrus soap and no wheel cleaner was needed. Just a little agitation and rinsing. The car was clayed with claymore fine grade clay. It was a pretty simple decon this time.

Here I was taping the edges! Smart to play it safe!

The paint correction was completed with Griots dual action. Method was Surbuff/M105 LC CCS/ M105

as i've said many times, it doesn't get any better when black or red colored cars are done right. nice job :up

p.s. how are you liking the griots DA (and also in conjunction with the surbufs)? perhaps your rotary is collecting some dust LOL...

Wow, over the top quality work Barry. That thing looks dripping wet. Shop is looking GREAT too. Nice to see those Metal Halides shining bright up there.

John

BigAL3 Thanks man. Yes this red is amazing! The griots D/A is probally the best machine I have ever got my hands on. I'm truely loving it. Seriously well worth the money for sure. I'm going to order another this week as a back up. Its a knock out with surbuff!

JohnKlevin Thanks man. Those metal halides show everything! I took the lenses off and my god they are the best correction lights I have ever used. Shop is coming around. My floor is getting epoxied in the next few weeks as well as some more trim painting and I need to hang some banners and such. I'm really loving this shop for sure!

great to get an update, and an update with an exotic at that!

As always, outstanding work Barry. The small things like the gas cap, properly treating various engine bay components, and overall pouring in passion always shows the quality of work you put out. I hope I can make it out sometime to work with you in the new place!

Wow what a great job!! You made it look soaking wet! I love your shop!

It looks as if you like the Migliore line! Ive been wanting to give it a try, Where do you order yours from?

Fantastic work as always Barry! Great first car to have in the shop for sure! It's also great to hear that things are going well for you and the shop is almost up to the Presidential standards! I'm suppose to head out to Lancaster in September and would be remis without stopping by to check out the place. God Bless

Beautiful work Barry. Nothing like starting things off with a home run. Looks like you are off to a fantastic start in the new shop.

Barry, like the new space & the new shirts. Btw the car looks okay as well(kidding, it looks "Superclean"). The Griots machine is very nice, tried one before briefly but when I had a chance to use it more I really fell in love with it.

[Insert usual :bow regarding Barry Theal's work here...]

Barry Theal- Heh heh, you know how I am about "red exotic" details, but hey...I gotta keep an eye on what you're doing, so here I am anyhow :chuckle:

Glad you're getting things rolling in the new shop and that the Griot's is working out so well for you.

I see you still have the bale handle on it...no vibration issues for you?

Heh heh, buying a spare huh? Probably a good idea with all the use it'll get!

Sheesh, I guess I oughta quit holding out and buy some SurBufs, huh?

!!!!!!

Look at how tight those lights shine! Car looks like a real life photoshop lol

Excellent work as always!

Been revisiting Migliore waxes (I have Fine and Frutta) and while they are a pain to use compared to most other waxes, I have to say the really nice glow they impart and excellent durability might have me using them more often. What has your experience been with them?

Scott, thanks for the kind words. I must say I have a desire for the Migliore line. The competizone is not as easy as most waxes indeed. I am one who doesn't mind taking the extra time for that nice look. Migliore COmpetizone leaves and amazing shine that I can't describe. It has a very warm glow to it. Its not easy on easy off, but like many things in life. Greatness take time.
