2004 jeep BRUTE conversion

Heck, just buy a 4 door wrangler unlimited, and have your local evidence eradicators (fire dept) do the mod for you in about 10 minutes..........

Very nice, lotsaluck on the asking.

This one is in the same price range and though not a 1 of 1, it isn't one you're going to see parked down the block. Current model year, 3 year warranty. We're talking a lot of money for a truck but...

Nice Jeep build if you take away the price. Thing is that it wouldn't surprise me if there was that much in it. the 6.1 alone was at least $20k if bought as a crate from Mopar.

Extremely cool, extremely bad value. a 10 year old car that when new was 30 something thousand. Add 1 nice motor and a nice lift kit and tires, then make it even smaller inside, then ask 5 times its current value. I dont under stand why any one would buy one when you can have a Ram Rebel pickup brand new for 30K less or a Raptor for 30K less.

It's high, but if you're looking at a vehicle as an investment strategy you're off-kilter anyway. $30k Jeep, $20k in the engine, $9k was what they sold the Brute Conversion for then body shop labor to install. There's $10 k in the axles, wheels and tires. Then there's the lift. That's not covering all the labor and incidentals. I'll bet the owner has $100k in it. I had $60k in this one and I did all the work. :

i just dont see the reason to try and turn a SUV into a pick up truck or in reverse why you would try and turn a pick up truck into a SUV. I know vehicles are all expenditures not investments but that doesn't mean you cant try to spend what money you do on them wisely. Even most toy or hobby vehicles still have a budget and its not good value to try and turn a jeep wrangler into a track day toy because you just love the look of the front end. Can it be done i'm sure it can but it will be very expensive and you could get the same capabilities out of something else more easily and with better value. if you make mid 6 figures or 7 figures a year i guess it really doesn't matter as much but bigger budget just mean bigger toys. For them maybe its buying a $350k tug style boat for its looks and trying to get it to do 65 MPH buy fitting it with turbine engines and making as much of it as you can out of Carbon fiber.

Ahh. Everyone has their beliefs, that's what makes this world a wonderful place. That TJ Brute I personally prefer versus the newer JK style that they just filled the back doors in on. That Jeep just needs to find the right buyer at the right price. It's strong suit now is that it's got 30K miles on it so it's not too showcar pretty and it's fully sorted out. I'd have to take it in a rock pile. I can't see where the 6.1 Hemi will help though until the highway.. The Wrangler's beauty was the industrial 6cyl that would make low end torque forever. I have the Hemi in my Challenger, I'm not sure I can see it in the Jeep.
