A couple of personal updates worth mentioning:

As some of you may remember, I'm fairly new to the detailing world. After doing a complete detail of my black '92 BMW for the first time (I've done most of the steps before, but I've never done the whole detail at one time), a friend of mine saw it and wants me to detail his car! Looks like I'm gonna earn a little side cash, and I owe it to the knowlagable friends at Autopia. Thanks!

Also, ever since I have asking for nothing but detailing products for Christmas, I have been spending just about every day doing something to my car. My family is "worried about me!" We got back from an 8 day vacation and the first thing I did when I got home was wash my car and layer some wax. Apparently, I "don't have my priorities straight," or some crap like that. I'm tempted to show them this Website and say to my family, "And you say that I'm obsessed?!"

Once again, thankyou for my shiny car! And aren't BMW's the absolute best cars? They're so fun! And beautiful, especially now that mine has a full-time beautician!

Surprisingly, I think there are tons of Bimmers owners on this site. (I would venture to say more Bimmer owners than any other group) I've got a clean 98 M3 and I clean the heck out of it!

Forget "priorities"!

For some of us, a good looking, perfectly detailed car is a "personal need". So, while members of the fam may scoff at detailing the car as a misplaced priority, often because they want you to take care of their needs... when's the last time they participated in what's important to you?

Just a thought.

They can be beautiful, but 99% of the BMW's I see are in need of an Autopian to care for them! There is a (stock) Honda Civic in the parking lot at work that always looks sweet, and thats what it is all about... for that owner the Civic is the absolute best car.

If you have to have an obsession, detailing your car is not such a bad habit. I could think of a few others your family would complain about more!!!

Client wanted a full interior detail and just a good cleanup and some protection on the exterior.

The leather and vinyl was very dirty and soiled.

The wheels, tires, wells, and running boards were cleaned with Super Degreaser, WB, APC, various brushes, and DC soap.

There was some soft mud on the frame and undercarriage that rinsed out really well with a hose, leaving it on my driveway.
