Well its been about 1 1/2 months since I put Z on and I must say it is living up to the hype so far...Because of the drought, I havent been able to wash (My truck !!) so I have been using FI on a daily basis. The shine is actually better than when I first put it on and it is still as slick as day 1..We had some rain in the past 2 weeks and the water just flew off the truck and it looked like it was just washed!! Also the dirt and dust do not stick to the Z. I was using Blitz/BF before and noticed a difference between the BF/Blitz and Z. I know that some describe the Z as flat in direct sunlight but I haven't noticed this at all. Maybe because I have mostly Z5 and only 1 coat of Z2.

I also have BF on another vehicle and the slickness is totally gone.

the shine is OK but nowhere near the Z shine.

:(

So far I really like Z..I wish I could try the Z wash..maybe Ill go to a coin-op and try some...

I agree, I think it's just as brite on the top as the sides. I only have 4 layers of z5 right now so I will have to see what the z2 does this weekend.

Sounds good, LW. What you are reporting is not "hype", it's the truth which some find hard to believe. You will find Zaino will NOT lose its slickness, shine, or protection with regular maintanence of washing or QDing. And, yes, the shine does seem to improve after washing/QDing as time goes on, a very impressive quality IMO. I've got about 30 something coats on my Camaro and I challenge anyone who says Zaino shows no depth. It's incredible actually! Just give it time and a few more coats and you'll be blown away.

I also agree about the rain "washing" with Z. It rained all day here Easter and after I drove my car home and let it dry, the shine was completely restored and there's hardly a speck of dirt anywhere to be found, save for the back bumper. The hood and side panels are completely clean!! Amazing...

Give it time, and you'll really love everything about Z. Sounds like you're already experiencing some of the best qualities, and the best is yet to come!

Keep up the great work!

Glad to hear you are happy with Z thus far. I have it on several of my vehicles and the durability is amazing. 4 months after my last coat on the Explorer and it still looks as good as the day I applied it.

BlackFire on the other hand.....well I have heard from several people that I totally trust that durability is not good at all.

Yea..I can vouch for BF's lack of durability..very disappointing since the initial shine is so good..I originally felt that it was no big deal to re-apply a coat every few weeks but now that I have the Z I am getting spoiled with the low maintenance..

Also I've read where people say Z is more expensive, but since the durability is so good and the fact that Ive gotten 5 coats of Z5 with 1oz I don't believe that anymore...And now I can order from my distributor using PayPal:xyxthumbs

That’s cool. Not sure why Sal Zaino can’t/won’t setup paypal, maybe something to do with distributors. It’s kept me from ordering the stuff for a long time until today! I went down to the post office and sent off a money order via priority mail…..tic toc..where’s muh stuff! Looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about. ;)

You'll be surprised at how fast it comes.

I wasted more time wondering why I couldn't order it over the internet instead of just dusting off the checks and getting one in the mail!

www.Ecklers.com has it on line, but no ZFX yet.

Yeah, BF durability is highly suspect with me...my wife's friend got less than 500 miles of life out of the BF I applied to her 2001 Mercedes, and the thing was a garage queen.

BIG thumbs down from me for durability...liked the look though, and it applied so nicely with the PC...

Lone Wolf, glad it's working out for you! When are we gonna see some pics?

Metallic Mike, 30 coats?? That's impressive! I hear what you are saying. People may get turned off by the enthusiasm we show for Zaino, but there's a reason for that enthusiasm.

Yah I always thought Zaino enthusiast are better words to use than Zaino zealots. :)

It's definatly not the enthusiasm we mind, it's the thrashing that had once been going on. Good thing it's settled down some, except for one of the chats I heard.

the bad posts and thrashing from other detailing forums have long been since erased. but yes now is much better.

Wow, a well-used X5 turned into an almost new X5 !
Great job, great attention to detail, outstanding results !

I also have helped way more than I can count, single Mom's out there; it's just what you have to do.

When I came back from my overseas tour in the military to California, I was stunned at the number of single Mom's out there, all alone, trying to handle work, kids, fix the broken car, fix the broken house, apt., etc.. Was glad I had learned how to fix so many things when I was a kid, so I could lend a hand.

Video was perfect - you, my friend are a good guy AND an excellent Detailer.

Thanks for sharing.
