2005 Lexus LS430. Regular customer, wash one, wax one (he also has an '02 Civic) about every 6 weeks. This time it was the LS430's turn. The paint still is swirl free (less than a year old car) so I just added another layer of Werkstatt's Acrylic Jett by hand.
Yeah, I know. Full sun isn't the best lighting for pearl white.
2005 Cadillac STS. Really good shape overall but needed heavy claying of all horizontal surfaces. Very minimal swirling though, so I went over the car with Menzerna 106FF mixed 70/30 with Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze and waxed with Meguiars #16.
We also detailed their 2000 Plymouth Voyager. Only got a few pics, it was very close to dusk so we took what we had time for. The paint got Optimum Polish using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads and Meguiars #16.
2002 Volkswagen GTI. The owner had just picked it up from the transport company the day before (he bought it from someone in Indiana and had the car shipped here). I knew he bought the car used and knowing VW paint and how hard it can be, I was prepared for the worst. To my suprise, the paint was pretty much swirl free, just some light halos on the hood and the interior was stain free.
My son went over the interior with Woolite/water and a lint roller. A lint roller is your best friend if you have that grabby fabric the Recaros in this car has. The vinyl was dressed with Optimum Protectant Plus.
The engine bay and engine was also pretty clean, just some dust and minor grease in the hood channels. A few terry cloth towels and some Optimum No Rinse got it clean and the rubber and plastic was dressed with Armor All.
Like I said earlier, the paint was in excellent condition. Slickness was pretty low but whoever took care of it before did an excellent job keeping the paint mostly swirl free. Just the hood needed any real polishing so I went over it with Optimum Polish using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads then the whole car with Werkstatt's Prime using white Cyclo finishing pads and sealed with Acrylic Jett.
Simply awesome. I know everyones looking at the cars but that van is so clean. It's older and still looks new. I do a silver 430 and have notices that the clear is tough against new swirls once a pro starts taking care of it.

About 40% is regular wash customers who I have found are very good about keeping their vehicles waxed and detailed regularly. Even better is that since I stay on top of their vehicles weekly, polishing/waxing/detailing is easier.
Justin-that Voyager was in pretty decent shape for a minivan, plus I had detailed it a couple years before. I was still suprised to see the interior wasn't trashed though.
martinager-I have about 3 1/2 cans of #16 left.
...plus it has such a terrific glow on white paint and should have no problems making it though a Dallas 'winter' I couldn't resist using it!
Knockwurst-the owner did mention it was 1 of 1500 but I didn't know the exact model designation. I learned something today!
The funnest part about viewing your work is trying to find flaws.....which I never do! :getdown Maybe one day I'll get tired of searching, but until then...AWESOME work as usual! Love the Lex...looks superb!
