2001 BMW Interior Clean Up - Quenga Detailing

This isn't your typical "perfect" before/after interior job. This is a beat up BMW that looked liked it was almost never cleaned. The stock floor mats were so bad they were apparently thrown away. The car needs way more time/effort, but after 2-3+ passes on several sections, I was running out of time. A lot of the stains are there permanently. I was pulling out almost clean water on the drivers side, but staining was still evident. I just bought a used steamer (VC 3000) from a carpet cleaner. He bought out a business and got it in the deal, almost brand new and I got it for less than 1/2 the price new. But, it only has grout cleaning brushes, so I have to order attachments that will allow me to use it more efficiently. After using it just a little on this interior, I'm totally sold on the vapor steamer idea. I will probably sell this one soon and upgrade. The car still needs work and it's not "perfect", but for the time/budget I was given, this is what I accomplished. More photos on my facebook page!

Because scrubbing by hand takes too long :). Before you ask, yes, this thing works great!

I pulled the seats up to clean underneath where smells usually hide. The passenger seat was also STUCK because there was so much loose change it was actually blocking the seat from sliding back and forth!

After I cleaned up the sides, I stuck my shop-vac in the air vents for 10-20 seconds to see what I could pull out! How about some MAC lip gloss! I also got a pen, toothbrush, various wrappers and more coins.

I also pulled off as much trim as I could safely get my hands on. Cleaners and scrubbers were only working a little on a lot of these black marks. I took off my attachments and hit them with straight steam and they came right out!

It was dark by the time I finished, so I didn't get a ton of after shots. But, this pretty much sums up how filthy the car was:

There are more photos of the leather seats and dash if you really want to view more:
