2001 Audi S4 re-conditioned and massaged!

So I posted a few weeks ago that I was going to undertake a big project...reconditioning my 2001 Audi S4. I hadn't detailed the car's paint for over two years, and even though it's been garaged most of the time, the paint really took a beating. Here's two photos which were taken after washing the car...no polishing yet:

I purchased the 6 pad combo of Lake Country CCS Hi-gloss 6.5" pads. Started with Menzerna IP with the orange pad, then Menzerna FP2 with a black pad. Next, a layer of Klasse AIO with a green pad, then used a spray/mister bottle to apply a coat of Klasse SG. It worked out really well...got out most of the surface imperfections, except for the sandblasted front end from 9 years of LA highway abuse... :(. Anyway...here are the cool pictures:

I'm getting a jar of P21s to put the last coat on. It should make the blue look like you can swim in it! :)

Man, thats looks great for a 8 year old car. It sure could use some Blackfire Wet Diamond.........:thumbup:

That is a beautiful car, I love those S4's. My last car purchase came down to a Nagaro Blue S4 or my Sonic Blue R, every time I see an S4, I get semi-jealous. I just love those cars.

UPDATE: Final coat of P21S wax

Can you tell any difference from the before pictures above from these following pictures?

The blue does look deeper and richer than before...I'm thinking I'm going to put one more coat of P21S... :)

Oh my gosh !! That is beautiful !! Your hard careful work and the topper of P21S made it like you said, deep enough that you feel you could fall into it!

Just a awesome job on an equally awesome car/color combination !!

Congratulations on a job very very well done !!

I knew someone here would mention BFWD:biggrin:

The P21S absolutely brought something to the table. It really added a lot of depth. Did you use the 100% or the regular?

I am really starting to love Blue. The more I see it, the more I ike it.

Great work btw.:thumbup::thumbup:

I used the regular Concourse look Carnauba wax...I was tempted to buy the 100% carnauba P21S, but some ppl's opinion say it doesn't make much difference. I LOVED the ease of removal ofthe P21S though...so easy to buff off with a microfiber towel.

If you like the P21S Concourse, you should try the S100. It's the same exact stuff, and a lot less expensive.
