2000 Lexus ES 300 Detail (1st time with Zaino)

Here is a detail I did this week for a 1st time customer which was referred to me by one of my good customers. The car is a 2000 I believe and was in fairly good shape for never being detailed. It had some moderate scratches all over the car and swirl marks from the automated carwash. The paint didn't have any shine whatsoever and it was hard to tell that the paint was metallic. Interior was in pretty good shape.

My process:

Washed exterior, cleaned wheels & tires and the engine compartment

Clayed complete exterior with Clay Magic clay bar

SSR2.5 to complete exterior by rotary with foam cutting pad

SSR1 to complete exterior with foam polishing pad

Menzerna FP II to complete exterior with foam finishing pad

Wiped down entire vehicle with Water/Alcohol mixture to remove any residue

3 coats of Zaino Z2 Pro by hand

Here are the before pictures:

Any pictures of the front bumper after?

Actually... no. I'm a comlete idiot and forgot to take an after picture because I was such in a rush . I had plans to be somewhere.

I buffed out the scratches around where the paint is removed and I told her to get the factory touch-up paint for it and I will take care of it next week. I'll try to post up a couple of after pics after I finish.

So what did you think of Zaino?

It seems like a great product so far. This was my first car using it and I think it came out pretty well. It went on pretty easy and came off easy as well. It's a little expensive, so It's definitely not something I would use on every car, but I plan on doing some experimenting with it on different colors to see the differences between traditional carnauba's and sealants I am currently using. My mom has a silver 3 series BMW and my dad has a bright metallic blue Ford Ranger I will be doing with Zaino in the near future. From what I've been reading, silvers and metallics look extremely well so I'll be sure to post up some pics of my parents cars when I do them.
